Blown Away is such a weird album <3

“Leave Love Alone” deserved to make the ranking instead of OWT.

"One Way Ticket" is officially our first 'regular' song to leave this rankdown. It features a trifecta of top 10 ranks from ccarter1023, lipe, and Cody Wants Out..., the latter of whom managed to save this from the bottom 2 at the last minute. This was our primary #34 contender, as you can see from the trajectory graph.

14887fan and I were joined by three other people to give this the most last place ranks of any song in this rankdown!

Personally I have always thought this song was hot garbage. Outside of the highly quotable "life is like a lollipop; lick it!", of course But in all seriousness, whenever I am listening to Carrie and this comes on, I literally race myself to change the song the moment I hear the drums start to try to get it switched before that insufferable out-of-tune whistling starts   I cannot STAND the sound of out-of-tune whistling!!! I literally feel a physiological reaction to the intro of this song, and it frankly ruins my day when I don't manage to hit the skip button before the whistling starts...

I had only pegged "Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus" as bottom 5 contender from the My Savior album because I had thought that "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" would get a bit more support. I never thought thought that it would be the first album track to exit.

However, "One Way Ticket" exiting in the bottom 5 makes complete sense as it's such an outlier overall. As I mentioned in my predictions, I hadn't heard most of these album tracks and this was by far one of my least favorites.

Not at all surprised that both "One Way Ticket" and "Forever Changed" left in the bottom 5 from Blown Away as they both were two of the weakest album tracks here. This song is ok, but it's such a snoozefest.

Another one I didn't expect to come in so unpopular... what is this Blown Away hate?!! I thought it was about virginity the first few dozen times I heard it, but I love Forever Changed!

That's back-to-back losses for Blown Away, which has now lost just as many songs as the gospel album in the bottom 5  Not a ringing endorsement, lmao.

Not entirely surprising though either. "Forever Changed" is just such an odd, subdued song. It's pretty amazing that it managed to make the top 5 album tracks from that album at all. I was happy that it did, because in my opinion it deserved at least that achievement.....but it is also really difficult to rank this alongside all of her biggest missed hit opportunities. I don't think it ever really had a prayer here.

We round out the bottom 5 with the first loss from Play On. I know this album is not most people's favorite, but I am honestly shocked to see "Look At Me" in the bottom 5! But as you can see from the trajectory graph, it pretty much never had a realistic chance of finishing anywhere else. I think this one has a nice folky vibe to it. Like, we would probably love this song if it came from Lee Ann Womack. There especially is no way this one deserved to be out before the Christmas songs at the very least

I'm not entirely surprised by any of these except possibly Look at Me which for some reason I thought was really popular with Carrie fans. It's pretty forgettable though IMO so no big loss. At least I can remember what One Way Ticket sounds like...even if it sounds bad. I'm slightly disappointed that Forever Changed is out already...but again, it's not a great big loss and I'm not terribly surprised.

I Ain't in Checotah Anymore and Choctaw County Affair have overstayed their welcome already. Get these two out of here.

"Forever Changed" being this low is sadly not surprising for me, but it still sucks as I LOVE that one. That is one absolutely gorgeous song. What a beautiful and understated vocal delivery from Carrie, too.

Nothing too surprising here, although I firmly believe “Look at Me” deserved way better. I love that song so much! The double entendre of the title is clever and the song is so sweet. I do wish the song had a bridge though. It’s one of the few songs I couldn’t live without from “Play On”.

“Forever Changed” is great, but it didn’t deserve to get that much higher just because this Rankdown is so stacked.

“One Way Ticket” should not have even made this rankdown so I’m not surprised it escaped last place, just disappointed. Easily one of the worst songs in her catalog and one of only a few songs Id describe as awful. Idk what redeeming factors some of y’all hear with this…

The My Savior songs as the bottom 2 aren’t surprising. They’re great, but not comparable to most of her missed opportunities as country radio singles. Speaking of, it’s time for the Christmas songs to go

castleoblivion26 got the hint correct, unfortunately :( "Twisted" kicks off our top 30, taking with it the first loss from Carnival Ride. I could totally understand this song being considered more on the "filler" half of that album, but it also is one that has grown on me more and more through the years. Like, this definitely deserved to be higher than the Christmas songs at least Unfortunately the lack of high ranks really held this one back, as the majority of people put it around #20-25, which was just enough to keep it from being a bottom 5 contender when facing off against so many strong songs.
