You're getting into listener intent there, and that's impossible to measure. What if I chose to put on a playlist because I actively wanted to hear the first 4 or 5 songs? How do you measure that? Should I then individually pull up each song to maximize chart potential? You're dealing with a microscopic percentage of music consumers at that point. I would wager the majority of music is consumed passively because that's how most consumers choose to listen. Everyone posting on this forum is an outlier, and we often can't see beyond that bubble. My point is that having a song played on radio in heavy rotation or being put on all of the biggest playlists curated by streaming platforms themselves is an unfair advantage because the industry is actively shoving these songs down consumers' throats. Streams that are actively driven by consumers (searching up a song and playing it or listening to a user generated playlist centered around a song or several songs) and buying music should be weighted higher because consumers are actively searching for and consuming songs in these cases, rather than having a song forced upon them by the multi-billion dollar corporations that run the industry. But Butter also gets airplay and good playlisting, so they also have passive listeners. Are you saying we should take out this as well?

Notable gains: #24 - Lil Bit (+13) #34 - Blame It On You (+10) #37 - Leave Before You Love Me (+21) #43 - Almost Maybes (+11) #50 - Single Saturday Night (+10) #58 - Things a Man Oughta Know (+23) #61 - Arcade (+13) #62 - Fiel (+31) #64 - Drinkin" Beer. Talkin' God. Amen. (+14) #71 - You (+29) #73 - Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home) (+17) #76 - transparentsoul (+11)
Also making likely a 10+ gain was "Country Again", which didn't reach a new peak.

Dierks Bentley reaches his highest peak since 2003, with his debut single "What Was I Thinkin' (#22 peak), as "Gone" rises to #26.

Great longevity for Leave The Door Open but I wonder if they will release a new song anytime soon?
Also nice to see Deja Vu still hanging on in the top 10, the album release gave it a boost because it was stalling before that.

Notable gains: #43 - Almost Maybes (+11) lol at the person who said Butter would be outside the Top 40 without manipulation. Almost Maybes ranks outside the Top 1000 of the iTunes chart and Apple Music, as well as unranked on Spotify, and very nearly made the Top 40. Let that sink in for a moment: A song ranked outside of the Top 1000 of both sales and streaming is somehow the #43 song on the Hot 100. That's an even bigger problem than Butter being #1 on the Hot 100.

It looks like he's even on Pandora's chart at #42, but it's "Buy Dirt", not "Almost Maybes".

What Was I Thinkin' is a wonderful song (and one I can relate to, sadly). I'm glad to see him enjoying success as well.

Still can't believe BB delayed the charts for multiple days to 'audit' the sales/mass buying (13K or something) of Levitating and took away a couple of thousand of copies. But refuse to do anything about Butter and the mass buying of that song (100K plus for multiple weeks!). It's just insane to me that a song that is so clearly being mass bought from people in and out of the U.S is just given the blind eye all for a few clicks.
Maybe I wouldn't be so annoyed if it was doing great on streaming and actually challenging G4U's streaming #'s or Levitating's radio but it's an absolute sh!t show.
Anyways congrats to Olivia on another week at #1.

Well of course UP survived; it just now has hit 20 weeks. It wasn't going to fall off the charts entirely in one week, since she's not practicing her inner Minaj yet.

OTM came oh-so-close to matching its peak. Maybe next week. Not with the Doja/Tyler albums. But I love how this song gets a different reaction than Butter. I love how Butter gets all this hate for being around 200 on Apple Music and 40 on Spotify. Yet, people want to see OTM get a new peak after more than 9 months despite being outside the Top 1000 on AM and unranked on Spotify.

Just a friendly reminder to you guys, there are other streaming services than Spotify and Apple Music that people use and that Billboard use to measure their streaming charts.
