artists like H.E.R. are the main reason why I think we need to stop talking about "debut albums" and focus more on "debut eras" when we talk about an artist's introduction to an audience. like yes, Good News is Megan Thee Stallion's debut album, this is H.E.R.'s debut album, and whatever Kim Petras is working on will be her debut album, but all three have released full-length projects & compilations that constitute earlier "eras" in their career. 

re: the Grammys, an artist can get nominated for Album of the Year without a proper studio album. EPs, live recordings, soundtracks and compilations are all eligible forms of recorded music.

Thanks for letting us know in advance that Butter will be locked in at #1 for the 7/3 chart week.

Butter’s been precluded as a lock anyway, physicals ship out this tracking week and are estimated to total between 20,000 and 23,000 orders, which is likely to add between 40,000 and 80,000 sales to the total.

What I’m looking at is if Levitating passes Good 4 U for the #2 spot. I’ve been 50-50 on whether to note it as an honorary #1 for its first campaign (it would’ve won had there not been a radio recalibration, but then that runs counter to my Gooba honorary #1, where half of the problem is that a long overdue radio recal wasn’t done), but if it pulls that off, it gets it no question.
