Pandora streams haven't really been a huge indicator for the hot 100 success like Apple and Spotify have been recently. It doesnโt matter, theyโre still used and measured by Billboard. yeah I get that but there's a reason people post updates on AM and Spotify and not Pandora/Amazon streaming is all I'm saying lol |

The same can be said about the ITunes Store. |

They never charted yet they are all classics. Britney has a ton of songs that weren't released that are regarded as classics. I think some people give too much importance to Hot 100 and pole position. It's always fun to follow the charts, but they are not everything. Olivia is a phenomenon right now, she's slaying more credible charts around the world, plus the album just returned to the top. Her fans should enjoy these facts instead of complaining about Hot 100 position every week. Or they should arrange mass buying parties and counter the BTS fans if they like to be #1 on Hot 100 so much. Lol what?? Most of us arenโt even Olivia fans. No single artist should be able to top the charts based on crazy fans mass buying for weeks on end. This is a forum for people that like chart watching. The f**k?? You would not have the same mindset if we lived in the 90s when Don't Speak, Lovefool, Killing Me Softly, and Iris never charted on the Hot 100. 2020 was also a bad time for the charts. Billboard is never perfect. They never charted yet they are all classics. Britney has a ton of songs that weren't released that are regarded as classics. Being a chart watcher having had a subscription to Billboard through that era I almost feel like those songs hit num.1 or should have and not mad about them not. Plus having a num.1 album back then was a big deal. Bigger than it is now and album sales were celebrated a lot back then. Alot of times back then Billboard would explain why a certain song wasn't num.1 and sometimes said if airplay singles were allowed it would be in this position etc etc. I think we as chart watchers did the same thing as what's happening now. Some people took almost as much stock in the airplay chart as they did hot 100 and sales were being treated the same as they are now actually. lol. Not everyone was putting out singles or did for a few weeks just to get a Top 1-10 position on the Hot 100 when we all knew the song didn't deserve it. (Bump Bump Bump) sticks out for some reason for a song that hit. num.1 that wasn't nearly as big as another "airplay" hit at the time. I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore. Sorry for the rant. lol |

God I wish Permission to Dance had been the first single itโs so dumb that chart watchers have been arguing for a month over a song titled Butter

Not gonna lie, this is an *incredible* week on the chart, especially on the lower end. We've got Surf Curse, Tai Verdes, TWO Bo Burnham songs, and a new top-40 (Todo de Ti).
Plus, Tate McRae is having a hell of a week, eh? So glad "You" is rising.

Because the songs aren't high on the charts, so they aren't stealing anything from anyone else. POV is in the same boat, a lot of us enjoy the song on radio despite the fact that it's not a streaming hit. It's also not in the #1 discussion. |

Also, we know those songs surged this week because of all the Migos/Polo G album tracks collapsing. Weaker songs near the bottom always get that vacuum effect after a front-loaded album bomb. |
