Groovy yeah, it really seems like they're just trying milk as much as they can from the drill sound now that it's the hot thing. Pop Smoke wouldn't have worked with most of these artists if he was alive. He had aspirations but he didn't intent on going as mainstream with his sound as some of the songs off these posthumous albums suggest.

For how different Shoot For The Stars was from the rest of his discography, most of the songs at least sounded like complete and finished ideas. Honestly I canβt expect the same from this one :/

G4u couldnβt even beat out Butter last week, and Butterβs streaming numbers are better this week. That said, I fully expect Butter to be #1 again this week. People really need to chill out about Billie's decline, though. Not a Billie fan by any stretch of the imagination, but Therefore I Am charted at #2 just last November, which makes it her 2nd biggest hit. Having a few singles that flopped in 8 months is not enough time/data points to suggest a decline. However, if the album flops, then maybe we can start that discussion. therefore I am just spent 1 week in the top 10 of hot 100 and the little longevity that it had in the top 30 for the rest of the chart-run was because of the radio payola...I think we all should admit that billie peaked with bad guy... Gurl, you havenβt responded to my question in the politics thread. Regardless of that, Billie is Britney but 20 years later. She will have the same trajectory as Britney (hopefully without the conservatorship). |

Olivia Rodrigo is the breakout artist of the year and good 4 u has been ruling the charts all summer, from streaming to radio, so the fact that it's been stuck at #2 for the last seven weeks is complete bullshit. My issue though with this like many other songs with radio, theyβre pushing it after it already peaked in streaming. I donβt know why radio is so slow to pick up on certain songs. |
