Y’all can be so pressed and upset about Queen Christina Aguilera all day long but this isn’t about her. Olivia is nothing but a second rate Taylor Swift including the fraudulent writing credits and all. I’m sure there’s talent in her somewhere but to be upset week after week because she’s stuck at #2 is laughable. Please be glad she has the #1 album and a White House co-sign. I think it’s wonderful she’s advocating for vaccinations. She should be a nurse.

I’m not sure if people are upset over Olivia not being number one as they are that the song that is there has literally cheated its way there for most of the time it’s occupied it but sure

It has an outside chance, but my feeling all along has been that Butter will remain #1 and Permission To Dance will debut #2. As the week has gone on, I now think Stay will end up edging out G4u for #3.

I’m not sure how you would compare Billie to Britney? She was never as culturally relevant or as big of a celebrity. If anything I’d say Billie is like an Avril Lavigne. Huge first album, and less success with everything afterwards. Both are under the radar as far as their profiles go.

billie is not avril..avril had 3 successful eras...billie has only one so far and I feel that her album next week will do mediocre numbers.. there's no hype at all

Leave the Door Open is in the bottom two spots on callouts for at least 4 formats (AC, Hot AC, Pop, Urban). It was such a huge radio hit but now it’s clear people don’t want to hear it anymore. Radio (radio DJs) needs to get better at reflecting popularity.

Olivia's team should have dropped deja vu after it got the #3 peak, and focused solely on Good 4 u. That would have helped enhanced its growth on radio, which would have given G4u a better chance at more weeks at #1 by winning the close Hot 100 races of 6/26, 7/3, and 7/17.

Why? Just because one song would be a bigger hit, completely forget about the other? From a business sense, that's a terrible mentality. If deja vu had collapsed in streaming I might've agreed with you but it hasn't. Having two songs at the same time have good streaming and airplay is just better.

I’d also say part of the blame is on Billboard for having a formula that counts website sales (and weighs heavily sales in general), while not counting UGC, which makes it easier for BTS stans to steal extra weeks at #1, or even artists like Travis Scott to score illegitimate #1’s with Franchise. Billboard could make a few tweaks like bring back UGC and downweigh sales or remove website sales altogether to make it harder for sales heavy songs to get higher positions than they deserve on the charts.

Here's my question. Is the Hot 100 meant to be a REVENUE chart or a popularity chart? If the latter then they need to adjust formulas. But if it's what song is making the most money for its label then I would assume BTS songs are raking in the most money week on week for their label, which is what the industry would care most about.
