Not too familiar with army twitter, but from these it seems like PTD might not be selling as well as Butter? Could also be the case that the Sales are being split between the 2. The objectively funniest outcome is they split their efforts between the two and good 4 u ends up on top, so fingers crossed βApplicants?β Why are they acting as if they are giving out business loans? |

In non-musical news, Olivia will visit the White House to record videos to help promote Covid-19 vaccinations among younger Americans. While doing this, Olivia could promote Good 4 u to get an official 2nd week at #1 on the Hot 100, which would definitely help the songβs legacy. Increase in catalogue streaming (i.e. songs that won't regularly appear in the top 200) is probably a part of it, also there haven't really been any especially big releases lately Arenβt Post Malone and Billie Eilish supposed to be superstars? The objectively funniest outcome is they split their efforts between the two and good 4 u ends up on top, so fingers crossed βApplicants?β Why are they acting as if they are giving out business loans? because you literally have to follow a very exact process to get funding. they don't just hand out funds willy nilly. you must purchase immeadiately and provide proof that you did so. they check order numbers and things. yeah, it's ridiculous. i've got people on my timeline BEGGING people to buy and in response people bragging about how they've "tripled" their amount of buys and they're gonna get the number 1. I love bts and i freaked out when i heard butter on the radio twice today (two different stations), but these false number 1s also instill in bts a sense that this is what we want and love and i'm mad that it's these songs that are getting this push. |

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a rebuttal, but just because someone's an A-list pop artist (such as Post and Billie) and they release something, it doesn't mean that it's an especially big release; that was the point of what I was saying. Fans have been talking about Billie's commercial decline for months now, and the Post song just isn't doing as hot with the public as some expected. Their recent releases aren't especially big releases. |

Having a few singles that flopped in 8 months is not enough time/data points to suggest a decline. However, if the album flops, then maybe we can start that discussion.

I love the way we pretend that everything i wanted, my future or your power were top 10 hits or that bury a friend and No Time to Die were both top 15 hits or when the party's over was a top 30 hit with longevity but sure, she has only two hits.

Highly successful Music Artists like Billie Eilish are bound to have Songs that underperform, It doesn't matter how successful the Music Artist in question has been in the Past. It is unrealistic to expect everything that these Artists Release to Chart highly and have Longevity based off of Name recognition alone. Imagine thinking that if a Highly successful Music Artist released a couple of Songs that completely underperformed that it somehow means that their time in the Mainstream may be coming to an end.

Without context, Billie might be flopping, but if we also only used the Hot 100, tons of artists have never seen success at all merely because they donβt chart on the Hot 100 ever or rarely - and we know thatβs not true. Weβll see where Billie ends up after the album comes out. Maybe her days of Hot 100 hits are numbered but she could still win in other ways. |
