New Posty, new Billie, new BTS, new Bieber/Laroi and plenty of more.

I really enjoyed NDA and Stay. Permission To Dance was alright but Motley Crew was just plain awful and disappointing.

Should be 7/24, not 7/26.
Anyways, ready for BTS to replace themselves at the top.

I like the new BTS song, minus the autotune. Am I supposed to praise Ed's songwriting ability now?

NDA is nice and def a better choice after Your Power/Lost Cause.
I don’t think it’s a Bad Guy sized hit though.

Permission To Dance is adorable, although it honestly sound like a Japanese song sung in English.

Welp Butter will spend another week at #1, can't see Motley Crew dethroning it

New BTS song reminds me so much We are in this together from High School Musical but I'm not mad about it because it's a bop.

I unexpectedly like the Laroi/Bieber collab, but I feel like it's kind of offset by my disappointment with the new Posty single. Mixed week but I do like NDA a lot as well!
I hope Post has another Circles or Goodbyes quality single lined up after this.

so, i figured if i really wanted to learn how to talk about the charts i should at least give the big new releases a try.
Permission To Dance - you already know i love it. it does not sound like an American audience would really enjoy it in my opinion. there is nothing that bright on the radio that i can think of.
Motley Crew - i didn't like it at all. Post for me is i love it or hate it. this is not a love it for me.
NDA - i like it. i don't know how i feel about it in general. she seems so sad. it's solid though.
Stay - HOLY CRAP. don't know who this Kid Laroi is but i thought he was beiber. i loved the song. i love Justin Beiber. i will definantely be bopping to this one. it's amazing.
just saw the spotify thing and the list of notable singles. how am i supposed to get through all of those??

Motley Crew: blah, maybe this'll grow on me but least fave and weakest Post lead single so far
Stay: isn't actually that bad and is better than their last collab. Neither have personality and still too clingy for me to love it but it's pasable.
Permission to Dance: You can definitely tell Ed Sheeran co-wrote this with all the odd details throughout like 'listening to Elton John' and even I can even hear his cadence in some of the verses. Not bad but a bit distracting
NDA: easily best of the big releases: it's the dark, experimental side of Billie that's creepy but still catchy and I love the distortion. Like a sequel to Bury a Friend or you should see me in a crown but able to stand on its own. The best of her singles in this album cycle, definitely gonna have this on repeat

Its so funny and laughable
the screeching vocals and autotune
Im so glad that its wasnt sent to radios! BLESS!

Kudos for Cole Bennett. First Eminem, now Posty is using his service for the MV.
Now the song itself, eh. Post will never top Hollywood's Bleeding, but as long as he's having fun, I'm okay with it.

Looks like Post Malone spent a his quarantine listening to Carti, Coi Leray. He doing 2018-19 Trap is a back step hope he learns.
On Stay Kid Laroi should have went with Uzi. He would have murdered the beat like he did on Juice Wrld Wasted.

Thoughts on the major releases: Stay: I like it suprisingly one of the best releases of the night. Motley Crew : Not as terrible as I thought it would be but Post Malone second singles are better. Permission To Dance: it's okay i don't hate it but I don't love it either. NDA : NDA is better than Lost Cause but the songs she has released so far have ranged from boring to forgettable. Hoping these are just bad single choices and the good material are on the album .

I love NDA. Definitely one of my favorites from this era so far. Post's single was decent, I could see it growing on me. Laroi/Bieber was good as well. I haven't enjoyed much of his stuff besides Hate The Other Side, but this one I like.

Well, since everybody's posting their impressions on the big singles of the week and I already did a tweet thread about them...guess I'll link them here?

Permission to Dance sounds like a KidzBop reject. For a band with “grown adult with real paycheck” fans, they sure do go for the music that sounds like it’s tailor-made for children.

PTD is a major improvement from Butter (or even Dynamite). Well I don't care this getting the #1, than Butter which was really awful. (I guess I don't really disliked BTS, I just hated Butter.)
I also loved NDA. I loved all prereleased tracks from Happier Than Ever (except my future).
Motley Crew was okay. I guess it will grow on me like every other Post lead.
Stay is decent. But it sounded like Hold On.

I feel like a boomer complaining about autotune but Motley Crew, Permission to Dance and Stay would all be better with less autotune/better produced vocals. That being said, Stay is much better than I expected. Also NDA is the best song Billie has released since Everything I Wanted.

I really hope pitched-up vocals aren't about to become a thing. First "Bad Habits" and now "Motley Crew" (which, for a song with that title, I expected to be more rock-sounding). Permission to Dance sounds like a KidzBop reject. For a band with “grown adult with real paycheck” fans, they sure do go for the music that sounds like it’s tailor-made for children. That's what I thought too, like if "Footloose" was written by actual children. It made me appreciate "Butter" more, so that's something.

I’m finding myself agreeing with everyone else here that Stay was better than expected and Motley Crew was a bit of a letdown. Permission to Dance is cute. NDA will probably debut high and plummet...
Listening to Say So makes me wonder how fast paced music in 2040 will sound.
