Permission To Dance: Not a huge fan, definitely the weakest English BTS song. Motley Crew: Kind of mid, not terrible but no where near as good as his other singles. NDA: Don't see what y'all see in this one? It's closer to the style of WWAFAWDWG?, but just doesn't pack the same punch to me. Definitely prefer Lost Cause and Your Power to this one. Stay: Not bad. Nice pop song, probably won't return to it a ton on my own but if it's on a playlist I wouldn't skip it. Totally agree with all. I don't get anything from NDA. It's just there. Motley Crew and Stay ...i would give it more listens.

Post's single has been out for less than 12 hours and you're already coming to this conclusion? I feel like some people on this forum are posting from an entirely different planet. They just shut off their brains and write whatever incoherent gibberish they can come up with and present it as a well thought out and reasonable point. On the subject though, no, Post Malone underperforming with a feature on a sequel to a six month old Juice WRLD song by a guy who's virtually unknown and a Hootie and the Blowfish cover does not mean he's like 2014 Katy Perry. I hope this helps. This shouldn't be all that surprising considering the fact that phieaglesfan712 only seems to be able to form a coherent, valid thought about music when the topic of discussion is Blinding Lights.

^Agreed. Artists need to prove themselves time and time again. Unless they are small time artist like SIR DRIZZY DRAKE.

Motley Crew was an odd listen the first few times I played it but it's a bop. The beat and Post's flow save the song. I can bet most people talking down on the song now will be playing it without end very soon.

I love “Stay”…I just wish it was a little longer. Yes, I see the Blinding Lights influence too.

I know, but I’m desperate for a KMM remix. I’d take a Masked Wolf remix if it gets a #1, over a #3 peak behind 2 awful songs. 1. Even if Masked Wolf did a Kiss Me More remix, I highly doubt it would move any units to push it to #1 2. good 4 u is a good song, shut up First statement right, second wrong.

Only time will tell. It is very possible that Post returns to his normal greatness, but it’s not a guarantee. Artists can lose it suddenly, as we saw with Katy, and what we might be seeing from Ed.

The Weeknd did a restock of his limited edition "Heartless"/"Blinding Lights" CDs and Vinyls. It's safe to say "Blinding Lights" is safe for the next two weeks as they're being shipped next week.

Yeah I actually like it too, the beat and flow are very infectious, only thing is it's almost impossible to tell what he's saying. Definitely had to read the lyrics to understand all of it. Permission to Dance is what I expected from them, it's on the same level as Dynamite but not quite as good as Butter. I'm not surprised Ed Sheeran helped write the song, but he could probably do better. NDA unfortunately I'm not feeling yet, it's another snooze for me, though of her singles released so far this era (though I know it's debatable which ones those are exactly) I really like TIA, and Lost Cause was decent, and if other people are liking NDA that's a good sign too, so I'm excited for her album coming out and it does show some promise.

Yes, that's certainly possible but how about you first wait for the singles from both Ed and Post to breathe a little before making that assumption? Like you said, only time will tell.

Interesting, since it's a double single this brings back the ancient debate of which song will it count for on the charts, BL or Heartless? BL because it's getting more airplay? How about Soundscan/RIAA tabulations, which song will it count for? Both? Neither?

Welp, today I saw the brand new single (and music video) by BTS being promoted on a CNN news program! Lol.
They will replace themselves at #1? Will they? I thought army was going for breaking OTR's record but it seems they're interested in as many #1s as possible.

I think the standing rule (back when A and B sides were more of a thing in the physical singles era) was the side with the most airplay got the sales points (so "Blinding Lights"). It's kinda like the inverse of compilation vs. studio albums on the BB200, where the album with the most sales gets the streaming points.

Not really related but I got two of the AH vinyl that I wasn't able to get before, as well as the Heartless 7". Was hoping to get one of the Blinding Lights 7"s but they're all sold out.

~16 hours later, Nicki & BIA's "Whole Lotta Money" (Remix) is at
#5 iTunes (#29 Clean, #84 original EP version) #29 Apple Music
My favorite release of today. It's been Bubbling Under for a few weeks now, so Nicki really came through for her!

So how many remixes of “Permission to Chart” are we getting? Does this mean BTS is blocking the top 2 for the rest of the summer?

Tbh I'm skeptical it gets pushed hard after this week – it seems like a promo single, given that it's literally Butter's B-side. I imagine they return to Butter next week, unless it takes off on TikTok or something.

Looks like they partnered with yt for this.

Post Malone taking a break and then coming back as a Postboi Marti is a perfect recipe for career suicide.

Let's let the artists do what they are going to do and not call it career suicide until after we see how it works out?
