"Island Song" is my biggest loss so far, as far as their beach material goes this one hits better than most of them imo.
"This Song's For You" sounds great, but it's long been one of my least favorite from Joey+Rory because the lyrics are lacking the quality they usually had. I'd have loved it if they collaborated on a better song. Still surprised this didn't chart back then given just how big ZBB was.
"I'd Take Another One Of Those" is similar to TSFY, it's a welcome sound that I don't mind hearing, but it's flaws weighted it down here.
"Junkyard" is stellar musically, I just wish it was shorter, I tended to get bored by the last minute or so.
"Someone I Used To Know" is fine, but it's a song I forget exists when it's not actively playing or being discussed.
The other 3 are almost unlistenable to me haha My only comment about them is that it's such a waste that they chose "Castaway" as a single.

Today's reveals are a 3-way tie and a 2-way tie. The 3-way tie includes the first #1 loss.

Welcome Home loses its first song in the rankdown as Real Thing just barely made in top 30. tim got a perfect ranking while gardyfan loses his last place. This is the song that slid down in my list the more I listened to this. The chorus is so awkward and the "Made in the USA" thing is pandering.

The second and final single of The Owl is now eliminated from the rankdown. zack97 's #6 rank helped this to be 2nd in the 3-way tie. On the other hand gardyfan remains to be the lowest ranker of these songs. If you are listening this from the album, this is a quite rewarding song considering that this is the last song of the album, but as a song of its own, the piano chords can get very boring quickly, even though I quite liked the vocal harmony here (as always with ZBB).

🌺CountryLineDancer loses his #1 as Beautiful Drug left the rankdown. He should be glad it is drawn into a 3-way tie courtesy of gardyfan and won the tie because of his #1 rank. zack97 and I lose our last place ranks. God this song is so soulless and trite. I definitely don't hate pop music but this is so lazily done that even Zac Brown's collab with Avicii is somehow more creative than this.

The extra song from The Foundation left the rankdown, leaving You Get What You Give as the only album intact (perks of having no extra songs here I guess). bboat11 and Kanenrá:ke got a perfect ranking. This is definitely one of more derivative songs in their first album, and the most memorable part of this song to me is how the intro sounds almost exactly the same as Where The Boat Leaves From (track 3 of The Foundation). I was so confused when it sounded like it skipped back to that song for a few seconds lol.

All the Best is the second song from Welcome Home to be eliminated from the rankdown. I guess the trajectory graph is not too surprising when I have the highest rank.
John Prine is master of "little melodies" and "little words". Also Kacey Musgraves on background vocals, and considering their female collabs are weaker than the male collabs (Yeah I know this is so anti-Pulse lol), their vocals blend surprisingly well here. Interested in her solo version of this song though.

"Real Thing" is proof to me that the "Welcome Home" album is underrated, it was a welcome return to form for them.
"Leaving Love Behind" on the other hand is proof that even when they're off the deep end there's a ton of talent in the band. Beautiful song that is only held back because it can get a little boring on repeated listens.
"Beautiful Drug" isn't their worst radio single, and I can see how someone might find it catchy enough but it's still trash to me.
"Different Kind Of Fine" was always an album track that I enjoyed musically, it's actually my most revisited album track from their first album.
John Prine was such a talented man, loved this one!

OK, odd group overall ... glad to see "Beautiful Drug" gone at least. Indifferent on "Different Kind of Fine" and am not surprised that the John Prine cover is out, but I am shocked to see "Leaving Love Behind," well, get left behind. For as much as the album it stems from sucks, I think the song is one of their best overall.

I didn't know there were so many (as in like three) "Beautiful Drug" supporters here!

I figured hard rock would be a hard sell to ordinary country music fans but Heavy Is the Head is a banger, even though Chris Cornell may upstages ZBB here. They are the second musical act after Bon Jovi to have a number one single on both Mainstream Rock airplay chart and the Country Airplay chart. They should have gone this path instead of whatever they made after Jekyll + Hyde tbh. Five people lose a top 10 rank but kw9461 and lady𝓐fan lose their last place rank, making this a 2nd most polarizing song. tim got a perfect ranking.

Their latest single found this group to be top 3 on country airplay after more than five years, which is good if only this isn't replica of Chicken Fried. I wonder how much gold airplay it dropped during Same Boat's chart run lol. At least the original is a great song melodically and not so great lyrically, so I don't think the quality is too far off. Still the "get together" theme is quite pandering. 🌺CountryLineDancer loses a top 10. Kanenrá:ke got a perfect ranking. This song trended to finish lower than #24.

Not impressed that Beautiful Drug is out so early. It's definitely the most played song by ZBB for me. Looks like I will be doing poorly in upcoming 2016 RD as well...

I am surprised Tomorrow Never Comes swings back and forth in the middle of the rankdown instead of being much lower. The synths are more developed here than in Beautiful Drug but the acidic flavor can be a turn off. I am fine with this, given that Béla Fleck played the banjo, but his playing in Junkyard is better anyway. And the acoustic version doesn't add much really. ClevelandRox loses a top 10.

Even though Grandma’s Garden may not be a standout from Southern Family, the album is one of the best Various Artists release in the last decade and it's produced by Dave Cobb. Plus I think this song has some heartfelt lyrics regarding family and Zac Brown still got an emotional voice to sell this, unlike whatever follows. Kanenrá:ke loses a top 10.

Aside from the decreasing return of writing about the same matter (father-daughter wedding songs), the vocal production in The Man Who Loves You The Most is quite poor. Worse is this vocal production maintains throughout the subsequent releases. I didn't think Zac Brown vocals deteriorate that much. It just sounds more "radio", for the lack of a better term, but it's so blunt in the mix. Other than that the instruments are still okay. gardyfan loses a top 10 and @gabe4evafinalyl loses his last place ranking.
