Yeah but he didn't have two songs in the top 20 (+multiple collabs) at that time. The last single from BBTM (Acquainted) ended its chart run in early May. He released Starboy almost 5 months later in September. I'm sure he'll do fine but I would have waited 2-4 months

5 weeks after the release of Planet Her, Doja has three songs in the Top 10 of Spotify but because that Lil Durk-Lil Baby album no one remembers is still in the Top of the Billboard 200, her album is also a flop

There are songs out there like Golden and The Business, which I felt never got their fair shake on radio. They could have been sleeper hits if their format kept pushing them for months on end. I also think Golden could have been helped if it was the first single, instead of Lights Up.
