Hmm at 'Hurricane' being promoted as one of the strongest hurricanes hits LA today - on Katrina's anniversary. NOT coincidental Kanye released today since he parlayed Katrina into his own gain.

I don't know about Halsey not being close to a household name. I think most people remember her for being on Closer, which was the biggest song in the country for weeks on end 5 years ago.

Blinding Lights is projected to be #20. Ye (album) got I think 4 or 5 songs in the top 25 but Donda will probably do better since the album is so much bigger. What would be great is if on Donda week Rumors, Peaches & Take My Breath could fall below it giving it some more breathing room but still it looks bleak

There's already going to be a huge gap in points between #11 and #12 on this upcoming week's Hot 100, which will be prime real estate for Kanye to lodge at least a few songs from Donda. I don't want to say BL is 100% done since the album missed 2 whole days of tracking and that could still impact where the songs land, but it's gonna be right on the cusp. If not this week, definitely next week when Drake drops.

Very surprised you missed it. I think that joke technique is commonly known as an "exaggeration". Hopefully you can now understand these type of jokes better in the future, maybe even laugh!

This week i think Kanye will overtake Halsey but Taylor somehow made it about her so it’s another Ye vs Taylor thing now and if Halsey wins, it’s not going to feel organic or genuine. Regarding whats coming on Friday, i think he’s going to drop something to keep the sales up so he can compete with Drake, along with people comparing the 2 albums the whole week so both albums are bound to do some serious numbers. Also Hurricane is a great choice for a single, idk why Pulse always thinks every song is boring when they haven’t even listened to it fully the first time it gets released.

It's ok, I was one of the original people who commented on your joke, and while I think it wasn't made very clear, I understand now what you were trying to say.


On another note, in regards to the Taylor-Kanye beef, I have been mostly on Team Taylor throughout it all, but like c'mon now girl, it would do her good to let it go now.

And though I haven't been a fan of Kanye for a while, very surprisingly to me, despite these messy rollouts and his often negative and controversial public image, as the Apple rankings show he still CLEARLY has a VERY SOLID and supportive fan base who will eat his stuff up no matter how or what he puts out, and it looks like the opening numbers, at least initially will be huge. Some have said (ok maybe 1 or 2 people) that missing a third of the tracking week will hurt him, although with an already established name, and with as big of an opening as this that looks like it will be very front-loaded, most of the activity will occur within the first 2 or 3 days anyway, so that will actually hurt him very little. I would think, however, that because there are 26-27 tracks, that would allow for fewer repeat listens for many tracks, which would lead to slightly lower debuts on the Hot 100.
