Is it truly a discount if the price was always 69 cents? a song at 69 cents has an advantage over a song at normal price, and these songs donβt really need it, let alone for this extended period of time. This would be true...if it was still any year pre-2013. Fortunately we live in the streaming era so with the exception ARMY stans and racist boomers, no one really cares about the prices of songs because no one buys songs any more. Can't believe you've ended up more annoying and hypocritical rooting against STAY and Bad Habits despite both songs being organically big until now than you were rooting for Blinding Lights. I didn't see you complaining when vinyl shippings gave Blinding Lights the biggest gain in sales for a week. |

Stay wasn't discounted the first 3 weeks, so there goes that. Bad Habits was the one that was discounted from the beginning. Why are you so upset with those discounts anyway? Who cares about iTunes in 2021, and 500 downloads more or less. People made a huge fuss about LTDO when it did this, but now itβs suddenly okay when Stay and BH are doing the same exact thing? Your memory is faulty, the thing that bothered people about Leave the Door Open was its campaign involving physical shipments of multiple SKUs for its first week at #1. Unlike Stay, they were the deciding factor in the song actually getting the crown. Even if you removed all of Stayβs sales, itβs still been #1 these past few weeks where it had it on the books. |

The song stayed at 17 those 2 weeks (and actually went down 2 spots from #15, the week before those vinyls shipped). Prior to that, BL never really was discounted, and in fact was really discounted for the first time (and only for the normal 2 weeks) AFTER it left the charts. If BL did the extended discount thing, it would have a few more weeks at #1 (in place of The Scotts and Stuck With Uβs weeks at #1). |

Do you not understand how annoying it is for everybody else just about everytime you post? Do you just not care at all that people see you as a joke and take nothing you say seriously? Why not try contributing to the ongoing discussions rather than trying to shove down the same three or four topics you use every few hours?

phieaglesfan712Please review the sales numbers --- other than songs by BTS - even the biggest songs will struggle to hit 10K copies in a week 3 songs outsold Stay last week Stay is #1 on radio and #4 on Streaming Please review how the charts work - it is pretty clear that the itunes discount is not the driving factor for this being #1

Welp, we were duped again. How the hell did all this talk about Adele's single being dropped today come about? Uggh, I'm just tired of all the f*ckery, YEAR AFTER YEAR NOW! It really did seem somewhat credible, given that multiple radio stations and multiple sources were tweeting about it. I guess it was this mass-collective hysteria or something that just proved to be false. The sources weren't credible, and nothing directly from her herself or her team.
Which leads me to my next point. One artist deciding to move their album release up by one week without giving the exact reason indicates NOTHING and certainly does not CONFIRM the specific release date of another artist! There is a multitide of reasons why Taylor could have changed the date, such as practical/logistical, interfering with other parts of her schedule, etc., or even if it is because of not interfering with another artist, why necessarily Adele? There's plenty of other megastars who could pose a threat to her, like Kendrick, Rihanna, Post, etc. (also keep in mind that Taylor can no longer do Red or 1989 1 mil+ numbers, and especially because this is only a re-recording. Fearless TV only did about 300k, so any of the aforementioned artists could easily challenge that). And given that there was this bogus single rumour this week, which turned out to be false, especially because it wasn't confirmed by her or her team, by the same token I am not at all convinced of the Nov. 19 release because that has not been officially confirmed by her either!! Also completely baffled that you all think a random poster on here giving out these dates of Oct 15 and Nov 19 is somehow a "credible insider" lol. Adele's situation is becoming to be more and more like Kanye's: I will believe it when I see it, although I am still holding out hope, and it still does seem very likely that they have a release geared towards sometime this or next month. If she misses again, there's really no excuse.
