Adele charting at all this week is nuts but Adele charting in the top 70 is Bonkers I’m convinced if Adele releases consistently in the 2020s, she could definitely give Drake a run for his money for his achievements. It’s also funny how they’re both not from the US but still dominate the charts like its their own territory. Lol. I cant imagine releasing Album 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38 just to beat Drake.

Beating Drake would require alot more songs than that . 25-30 songs per album instead of 12

^No. The first Hot 100 #1 from the Soundscan was Set Adrift on Memory Bliss on the chart dated November 30, 1991, so the last #1 before that was When a Man Loves a Woman on the November 23, 1991 chart.

If there is 5,000ish top 10 hits then that means Drake alone (54 top 10s, and 2 more uncredited) has been included on 1% of all top 10 hits.

When Spies Like Us went to the Top 10 in early 1986 for Paul McCartney’s 56th Top 10 (he added a 57th with FourFiveSeconds nearly 30 years later), there were ~2000 Top 10s. In early 1986, Paul McCartney, whether as a member of The Beatles, Wings, or himself, was a part of ~2.5% (or about one out of every 40) Top 10s.

Closer to 2750 give or take about 10 Turnover rate through the 80s ws much higher than now A typical year before 1992 would produce 100-120 top 10s Now it is between 50 and 70

Also, a special congrats to Jack Harlow on a well-deserved first #1!
