Moth to a Flame debuting lower than TMB despite having better streaming is honestly pretty bizarre, though maybe they're waiting for the radio push till TMB peaks there?

Itβs extremely disconcerting to see that not only could that second version of LGB debut in the top 20 above MTAF, but also the version that debuted this past week could surge into the top 40.
My only hope is that either of these becoming legitimate hits on sales alone finally convinces Billboard to rebalance the weight of sales in their formula like they should have years ago.

Wouldn't the versions of Lets Go Brandon be combined?? The versions that occupy the top 2 of iTunes are by 2 different artists. If both versions were combined, it would be in the top 10.

What will be interesting to see is if the Godz Child (Loza Alexander remix) version is counted with the other Loza Alexander versions, or if it is treated as a separate entry. Billboard has been very inconsistent with these types of situations before (just look at how they counted the pt 2βs of Donda).

^I think Winston's early predictions are combining all versions, which I think is not how I would expect Billboard to do so. To make matters more confusing, the two new versions of Loza Alexander are titled Let's Go Brandon rather than Lets Go Brandon.

So the national nightmare seems to almost be over: Fancy Like seems to have started to peak in radio! Pop Radio is definitely dumping it, judging by the daily update on Mediabase. It still has Country support (unfortunately) but it'll definitely take a dip in radio for the next few weeks.

You right #15,need to know #9 ... Wow, Easy on Me down 50% week 2, that's definitely an underperformance compared to what most of us expected. STAY or IB could very well be back at #1 in the next couple weeks. The other interesting thing, the top 7 songs Hot 100 songs are all declining right now. That opens up some real potential for another new #1 before Christmas songs take over. My money's on Shivers or Need to Know, but both still need at least a few more weeks to rise through the top 10.

Don't celebrate too early. Walker Hayes still has some cards that are yet to be played, like iTunes discounting and putting out 8 versions like LNX did with IB.

Any idea who the Hot 100 Artist of the Year will be (based on overall points - peaks & longevity)?
I'm assuming - based on the obvious - it will be Drake, but would I be forgetting someone obvious?

Take My Breath definitely had a bigger first week radio push. It already pretty much peaked at radio, but could get a second wind in the formats that take longer to adopt relatively newer songs.

Going by points it could end up Drake or Olivia though if we're not going by arbitrary chart points, here are who I think we're the MVPs of this year (based on commercial and critical performance): Olivia The Kid LAROI Doja Cat Lil Nas X Maneskin Dua Lipa The Weeknd Kanye West BTS Justin Bieber Ed Sheeran Drake Lil Durk Bo Burnham Lana Del Rey Tyler the Creator Billie Eilish GIVEON SZA YOASOBI Adele and Silk Sonic will also be included once their respective albums are out. and here are the underground/ indie critical breakout stars of the year: Black Country, New Road Little Simz Magdalena Bay Japanese Breakfast Porter Robinson black midi Injury Reserve SPELLLING Lingua Ignota Genesis Owusu

Lost over 250 spins today... this second wind in smaller formats (if it happens at all...) is probably not gonna be enough to offset the huge drops on it's biggest formats. And there's a new single streaming better(-ish). It's done. At least he's still doing well on CHR with You Right.

The Weeknd doing synthwave is getting old. He should try experimenting with the sounds of the 90s/00s.

Per my estimations up to the October 23rd dated chart: Hot 100 Artist of the Year 1. Olivia Rodrigo 2. Ariana Grande 3. The Weeknd 4. Drake 5. Justin Bieber 6. Doja Cat 7. BTS 8. Dua Lipa 9. Lil Nas X 10. Morgan Wallen Drake should sneak up to #3, and could possibly sneak up to #2 by the end of tracking. Kid Laroi will likely knock Morgan out the top 10. Olivia has a notably large lead and is locked #1. The most recent chart, next week's chart, and the week following are the last 3 charts of the tracking year not included.

Lovely on spotify 200 in 2021... this is already one of the most streamed songs of all time and will probably go down as a classic, future generations will be so confused on how it only peaked at #64 on the hot 100
