LTDO is probably my favorite song of the year. I think itβs one of the best songs of the past 10 years. I think Skate is a great song. And Smokin Out The Window is oh so good after one listen.

nickd we'll have to wait and see. It's interesting to me that she's re-releasing the older albums so the new versions can be consumed instead but all it seems to be doing is breathing new life into the older albums which she doesn't own the masters to. I still think after she's done re-releasing all 6 albums, they'll fall off and the older albums will still be the ones being consumed the most. It'll likely continue on like that until/unless she finds a way to remove the older albums from DSPs (which I don't think she has the power to do).

There was another song to chart in 1979 by Rod Stewart, but no B*tch songs until Stevie Nicks' song in 1991. Meredith Brooks' song in 1997 was only the fifth one to chart with the word in its title, but was the first of four in 1997. There were six songs last year if you count B.I.T.C.H. |

Since "Space Song" has become a Spotify force, I'll point out that Beach House's first new album since 2018 has been announced. Apparently they plan to release it as a series of EPs over the next few months, and the first 'chapter' released today.
"Superstar" seems to be the fan favorite, so if the hype is big enough, that'll probably be the highest debut tomorrow.

I think Skate flopped due to lack of promo, it also falls in the category of songs that radio randomly decided not to support for no reason

I don't even think LTDO reached this high on Apple Music during it's run. So this could possibly be bigger than LDTO... album release is coming which will give it further stream boost and could probably send it to #1 on Apple/Spotify with a decent lead. And it got almost zero airplay out the gate unlike LTDO which had a big radio push immediately. It's interesting how Bruno always manages to have 2nd or 3rd singles that are just as big as the lead singles, which were pretty sizable hits to begin with. Atlantic does a really good job at selecting singles with him. |
