Montero best album of the year

^For Montero, there where three songs in the top 10 with one of them debuting, but none of the other eleven songs overall in the Hot 100 in the top 40.
Another one that bears mentioning is Dangerous, with one song debuting in the top 10, three in the top 20, five in the top 40 and nineteen songs overall in the Hot 100.

Has anyone had a massive album bomb this year, besides Drake? Juice WRLD's album bomb looks to be quite weak as well. And although Drake would have done quite well either way, all of his songs had a radio deal at the time. I guess you can say Olivia Rodrigo had one, but in general, album bombs have not been big. Huh? NONE of the songs off Drake's album had a radio deal. If any songs off the album got airplay in the album's release week, it was because certain radio formats went out of their way to play them, not because there was any sort of radio deal in place for any of them. You're bringing up radio airplay like that had anything to do with the album's first week performance. This is from a Billboard article: www.billboard.com/pro/drake-hot-100-history-way-2-sexy-number-one/Don't try to act like airplay was responsible for any of those songs debuting in the top 10 or that any song got substantial airplay in the album's debut week (even Way 2 Sexy which got promoted as the album's lead single ended the tracking week with only 7.7M airplay audience impressions). In comparison, Easy on Me had 3.1M airplay audience impressions after 5 hours of availability in it's first week and had 65M airplay audience impressions after it's second week. Bad Habits debuted with 38.8M airplay audience impressions. Also, I don't know what you'd classify as "big" but scoring multiple entries in the top 10/20/40 classifies as a notable album bomb and we've had many of those this year. An album doesn't have to occupy 4/5 spots in the top 10 with it's songs to be classified as an album bomb.

Your point could have been summed up in a couple of sentences. And I simply asked were there any big album bombs that would even constitute 30's as weak. The question was answered without the MELTDOWN over Drake.

I don't have an issue with being corrected when I'm wrong, but I do have an issue with someone having a meltdown over one mistake I made that can be summed up in a sentence or two. I've already acknowledged that Drake would have had a huge album bomb without airplay anyway. Didn't mean for that one point to cause an issue.

magik nobody had a meltdown. You said all of the songs off Drake's latest album had a radio deal at the time of their release (something that was wrong) and I said that if any songs off his album were played in the first week, it was because certain stations for certain radio formats chose to do so, not because Drake asked them to or had some radio deal in place (most huge acts get their songs played by few radio stations heavily for like a day after their release. It happens and isn't a big deal and Drake has only ever used a radio deal once his entire career — for Toosie Slide). I also shared the streams, sales and airplay data for the Drake songs that debuted in the top 10 to make you see that airplay had absolutely nothing to do with the songs debuting that high. I used my entire response to correct you and let you know you were wrong (something you said you're not opposed to) so where is the meltdown?

This is rich coming from someone who said ASTROFEST footage was fake news. Why haven't the mods done something about this user yet?

Who cares about album bombs apart from chart geeks? I'd rather have 1 or 2 huge hits from an album than all songs charting one week and dropping the second. Just because Adele and Ed Sheeran didn't have album bombs doesn't mean they're flopping. Thankfully UK chart doesn't allow this anymore so charts aren't clogged.

Christmas music was bound to takeover one of these days at least it's not as dominant on Apple Music as it is Spotify.

YeH Industry Baby's longevity is very impressive, but also kind of hinders That's what I want to really take off Do you think there'll be another single off of his album?

They’re pushing Thats What I Want as the next single, it’s on a bit of a radio run in the top 15, could get into the top 10 in the future.

Stay and Industry Baby feel like the only 2 songs that would stay in the top 10 through the christmas blast. If there’s any songs that are already guaranteed for the top 20 YE of 2022 it’s probably these 2 songs.

Listened to abcdefu for the first time yesterday and apparently GAYLE is 17? Yet another addition to the class of Gen Z acts breaking into the mainstream.

HW might spend 65-70 weeks (possibly even more) on the charts before its run is over.

Well GAYLE can join the 2000s kids who've had big hits alongside Olivia, Laroi, Tate McRae, Billie, 24kGoldn, iann dior, and Gabby Barrett (and yes for those who don't know, Gabby Barrett is only 21, she's my age)
