Kelly Clarkson should just promote Underneath The Tree. I think if she did it could be a perennial top 10 Christmas song. It’s my favorite ‘newer’ ones. Even this year she has promoted it by singing it during her TV special, so I’m not sure what you mean. She obviously performed it a lot the year it was released, but even since then she has performed it on a Disney special, her talk show, her TV special, Rockefeller, The Voice, and it was used in the movie Office Christmas party. She promotes it often. I think what they meant was that she should just focus on promoting Underneath The Tree only. Yeah, she did perform it on her Christmas special this year but the song hasn't been her focus single in years. And it's not her team promoting the song when it's being featured on films. I'd say the song has been gaining a momentum worldwide by itself, rather than being benefitted by her American TV performances here and there over the years. So I think there's definitely room for the song to grow with extra push. |
