Is The Weeknd's team forcing the artists to release the new collaborations every 4 weeks? It doesn't make any sense... if it's a strategy, it doesn't benefit anyone involved. I mean sometimes, it's not about commercial success. FKA twigs doesn't make music that's critically acclaimed but commercially successful. I doubt she'll get a charting song because of Abel but I don't think she nor him care about that.

Bruh you said the footage was fake. Doesn't matter if the footage came from Twitter, CNN, or my left testicle, it was still real footage from the concert. And clearly drem got your attention, so... Iann Dior is still Gen Z. Gen Z doesn't begin at 2000, it begins in the late 90s. Who are you? I know what I stated, but I have no idea why you are or why you are fabricating things Y'know what, I'm sick of you lying and harassing others on this forum. Juan Carlos, I think given the repeated history of this user, it's fair that they be banned.

For when you know you're in the wrong so you just attempt to belittle the other person instead as a last ditch effort to retain some sort of internal dignity. Coupled with the gaslighting immediately following it, this makes for a grade A flamebait post. Congrats!

itunes: 2. Girl Named Tom - The Chain (The Voice Performance) 3. Girl Named Tom - River (The Voice Performance) 8. Girl Named Tom - Dust In The Wind (The Voice Performance)
Well, this show seems to have an obvious frontrunner.

Bieber and the weekend need to go away and not release anything for a year. Too many radio hits in the last 2 years and pure overexposure. They will flop with anything thay they release if they continue to release so frequently. Ghost is doing well but it's only because it is part of the album. It seems Canadians have a penchant for overexposure on the charts ... Drake and JB have been pretty well known doing that for that for quite a while. The thing is Drake has literally built his career off of overexposure when he had the streak of 400+ weeks on the charts (and another 188 weeks from Godβs Plan to just a week before CLB dropped) so heβs obviously safe dropping many songs heβs featured on and most of them doing fairly well. JB just had luck and some of his featured songs become huge worldwide hits like Despacito and Stay, and he also had a 150 week streak between 2015-2018 so heβs in between i guess. Abel is just the odd one out here. Of course weβre not used to him dropping frequently compared to the other 2 when he finally does that, both the fanbase and the public doesnβt know how to react to this change. Weβre also still riding off the massive success of the AH singles and while heβs definitely had more luck scoring better peak positions and longevity compared to when the spotlight was all on BL and nothing else, it still feels like the power of that song still overshadows the rest of his current status as of right now.

atg I still feel like this all started the moment he decided to push Take My Breath as a single when Save Your Tears still had lots of momentum. That made 0 sense back then and looking back at it, it was a very dumb move. Just like you said, his fans and the GP simply aren't used to him having multiple singles in rotation at once. While Drake, on the other hand, has always done that and starting from 2015, Justin has done so as well β over the years, they've both found a way to manage having multiple songs on the charts simultaneously. That's not Abel. It's not a mistake it took so long for another single to truly take off after Blinding Lights blew up and once he finally landed another huge hit with Save Your Tears, he should have held on pushing yet another single until the momentum behind it had died down, seeing as he knew he had a bunch of guest appearances on other songs on the way. After an incredible 2020/most of 2021 on the charts, right now, he's basically in chart limbo because he still has songs doing well on pop radio but you can tell people just aren't engaging with/supporting the new songs he's releasing like they're meant to and I'm not at all surprised by that. It's because he's overexposed. There's simply been too much Abel in people's faces and in people's ears over the last 2 years on radio, on the charts and in music videos (since 2020, he's appeared in 17 music videos) and that's not something people are used to.

Take My Breath's lukewarm performance is also evidence that people are worn out on his 80's styles

I think it would've performed better if he disappeared for a year and then released it. When he released that song, BL and SYT were still doing great on streaming and charts around the world. The world needs a break from The Weeknd after such a domination.

I get the feeling that Oh My God/Knife Talk on radio will go the way of Fancy Like/Heat Waves. OMG, like FL, was the song released later but got big on radio first, whereas KT (like HW) had the better streaming numbers but just took longer to take off on radio. I can see OMG burning out on radio really quick, while KT continues to climb slowly into spring months.

Imagine after all the collabs he's done this year, this is the one that's it. Also, the unlikely collab of Mariah Carey, Khalid and Kirk Franklin shouldn't go ignored.

The latest Billboard Deep Dive examines the streaming era's top holiday hits, the strategies behind them and the Christmas music retail market.
In the music industry, holiday music is the gift that keeps on giving β year after year. In 2020, as Dec. 25 approached, over 15 million people worldwide asked Alexa to play Christmas songs. Deep Dive looks at the biggest holiday hits of the streaming era, what strategies helped make them successful and how both online and brick-and-mortar stores are selling physical music products.
Let It Stream: The Label Holiday-Playlist Strategies That Keep The Clicks Coming
Holiday-music generates more than $170 million annually, and streaming numbers are so massive that labels now have year-round teams to keep the plays flowing. βOur hope is somebodyβs going to discover our playlists by the holidays, put it on and just let it go,β says one major label exec.
The Search For New Holiday Classics
At almost 2 billion streams, Michael BublΓ©βs Christmas has become that rare thing β a modern holiday standard β and a gold mine. Since 2011, Christmas has moved over 6 million equivalent album units and its songs have accumulated 1.9 billion on-demand streams in the United States, according to MRC Data.
Kelly Clarkson, Michael BublΓ© and Mr. Hankey: Whatβs Selling (And Whatβs Not) At Brick-And-Mortar Music Stores This Holiday Season
Every fourth quarter, brick-and-mortar music retailers wish for a new, hot-selling Christmas album. This year, merchants say theyβre betting that Kelly Clarkson will join perennial top sellers from Michael BublΓ©, Mariah Carey and Vince Guaraldi, whose soundtrack to A Charlie Brown Christmas was released in 1965 and remains a strong seller
A Majority of the Streaming Eraβs Top 25 Christmas Songs Were First Heard On A Record Player
While record labels and retailers of physical Christmas music wait to see if one of this yearβs new holiday albums will catch fire and drive sales by mid-December, industry sources say that this yearβs Christmas-music streaming activity is off to a slow start.

At this point random The Weeknd singles is becoming something of a meme, as in "insert unlikely artist + The Weeknd" for a brief Hot 100 chart run. Can't wait for Cupcakke + The Weeknd That would be awesome

There's usually a "lull" in Christmas music about this time in December before it ramps up in the week leading into Christmas. The streams will be massive this weekend and sustain themselves/start increasing again by mid-week next week every day until Christmas day.
I do quite like the domination of Christmas music this time of year in one way. Mainly because I love seeing the post-Christmas clear out. I love seeing so many songs falling and lots of songs rising back up.

Who are you? I know what I stated, but I have no idea why you are or why you are fabricating things Ah yes the classic "who are you" argument. For when you know you're in the wrong so you just attempt to belittle the other person instead as a last ditch effort to retain some sort of internal dignity. Coupled with the gaslighting immediately following it, this makes for a grade A flamebait post. Congrats! You can save the helpless victim BS because you are the one who jumped into my notifications. You and that loser from the Philippines must be used to pushing around people on here, but I am not the one. When I bite your head off for incessantly trying to prod at me, then you are going to be crying that I am the aggressor. You better stop trying to provoke me because it will not be pretty, so you can give the memo to your buddy who apparently has nothing else to do

This current argument is turning very ugly, But I'm just casually watching it continue to unfold, And enjoying every second of it!
