Yay "The House That Built Me"!! I don't know how I can praise the song more than I've done in the past but it just is one of the greatest country songs of the 2010s (its original release was in 2009 but anyways) so it feels very deserving. I'm also pleasantly surprised by "Back to December" making it all the way into the top 10! Thanks for hosting bboat11 !

Thanks for hosting bboat11! That was one of the craziest rankdowns ever. Y'all nailed #100 correctly. The Top 5 was very expected and the Top 3 was incredibly solid. In between #99 and #6, whew, that was a wild ride. Glad to see THTBM win it all - really one of the top songs of the past decade.

I have never liked âBlown Awayâ and think âTwo Black Cadillacsâ is 100x better so thank God it didnât win here.
Miranda is a fine winner but there are some others I like more, but this list was so strong it was bound to be messy.

If it wasnât Sara (but why is she barely in the Top 5 when she should have been either #1 or #2 lmfao), it was Miranda. When you think of the 2010s in country music, even despite the bro-country stench that permeated the genre, you immediately get both âA Little Bit Strongerâ and âThe House That Built Meâ playing on loop in your head. Those wouldâve been the only correct winners for me personally. Iâm also so glad to see that âIf I Die Youngâ managed to do so well. That song just means a lot to me, especially after the 2021 I had. Thanks for hosting as always bboat11, and Iâm excited for the return of both Reba and Terri! (Who are going on tour together this fall btw!!!!! Iâm hoping to snatch a ticket for November 5!)

I have left: 1, 3, 6, 7 11, 13, 20 23, 24, 25, 30 50 70 81, 90 I'll take any of my top30 songs winning, and at least the odds are in favor of that happening... You know what?? When I saw my notifications and I saw a 'quote' right after a bunch of tags, I KNEW it would be this post, I KNEW what was coming, and I KNEW it would be with this song... ha. BUT HEY: Well there ya go! Now you're a little less basic!!! LOL I have to say I didn't think "Girl Crush" would be the first one to go... I'd have bet on "Wasting All These Tears", which unfortunately left shortly after. at least I lost 3 bottom 10s too! now I don't have any of those still in it. my #90 is still there though, and I'm sure it will last for a while... could even be a winner contender I also kind of already knew this could happen so... not a fan of the song as you can see and the melody doesn't do anything for me. but if even my #90 ranking couldn't change this win, I'll have to respect it. at least I had so many songs that I love on this top10! it was so fun to keep up with the results.

also: "Follow Your Arrow" deserved better! I'm glad "If I Die Young" made it to the top10 - I wasn't sure it would. I love that it had 2 #1s other than mine! it truly is one of my favorite songs ever and I miss old TBP... "Die From a Broken Heart" just made me realize I had 2 songs on my top3 with "die" on the title - I promise I'm okay.

Our final song to miss the top 10 is none other than the very first country song to ever win a rankdown!!!! It won the first edition of the 2016 year-end rankdown, hosted by gravey, and then came in at #2 in the 2015 rankdown that I hosted right after that. When I redid the 2016 rankdown prior to doing this decade rd, it only finished at #3, behind "Peter Pan" and "My Church". I chose to include it as the #2 for 2015, and then eliminate it as a duplicate from 2016, which is what allowed "21 Summer" to be in this rankdown. castleoblivion26 will be happy to see this go, as the lone bottom 10 rank. And honestly, I am happy too, lol. I have just plain overplayed this one through the years, so I don't enjoy it nearly as much as I used to. I don't think I'm the only one, considering that it fell from #1 to #3 in the first and second 2016 rankdowns. 100% yes! Seeing "Burning House" miss the top 10 made me so happy, not gonna lie. Same with "80s Mercedes". Don't get me wrong I don't hate either song but I just don't love either of them and for this one as much as I want to like it because Cam sounds beautiful on it and I get the imagery and everything, it brings up memories for me that are really painful so this song is an automatic station changer for me (if I listened to the radio that is lol) Now seeing the incredible "Peter Pan" at #15 is just wrong but I guess I can move on from that as my lowest remaining going into the top 10 is my #51, which I 100% expected to win, so I'm happy with the Top 10 overall. "Back To December" remains the only Country single of Taylors country days that I actually liked when it was current, and I still like it. For that reason I am glad it did so well here but also glad to see it bow out at the beginning of the Top 10. Gotta say, Ingrid Andress is someone who I enjoy more and more and "More Hearts Than Mine" is great, though I do think "Peter Pan" deserved Top 10 over it easily. Talk about overplay. I still think "If I Die Young" is beautiful but I just find it difficult to enjoy it anymore. It did deserve its spot in the top 10 though. Now "Two Black Cadillacs" easily deserved Top 5 and I'm kicking myself for ranking this at #15 cause it should have been in my top 10 easily. Not sure what I was thinking when I did my list. That said while I would choose Sara Evans to not be in the Top 5, she was always going to be top 5. Happy to see "Die With A Broken Heart" in the Top 10 as I think the song had such a climb and earned fan favor that it deserves its spot here. I am glad however that it isn't in the Top 5 though. I am beyond shocked to see "A Little Bit Stronger" at #5. TBH while I used to like the song I do feel like the hype around Sara on Pulse has actually started to sour me on her overall and so some of the songs that I'm not as big on I'm starting to actively dislike out of annoyance. I know this will annoy some and that isn't my intention but just wanted to share how I'm feeling about her lately cause I do like her and am trying not to let that get any worse than it currently is. I'm so happy "Better Man" did so well here as I continue to love that song and it hasn't gotten old for me. I know others liked Taylor's version but I cannot even listen to hers compared to Little Big Town's incredible version. Shocked to see "Blown Away" land at #3 instead of "My Church" but not one bit upset by it because I love both songs. Ironically "My Church" was my lowest remaining of the Final 4 but I wouldn't have been upset to see it win, that song is a moment, just as the other three are. These are all songs I never tire of. Lastly... A one-two-three punch huh?! I actually had my fingers crossed this entire time that "The House That Built Me" would come out on top as that is hands down my favorite song from the decade. Glad to see it did (and I'll of course gladly take another perfect ranking alongside my nemesis castleoblivion26 ).I had been following along with the reveals and am glad that I happened to here for the finale tonight. Thanks as always bboat11 for being a great host! sadly I missed the finale but I'm making my feelings known now. I do wonder though how close we are still in wins, you might be ahead of me finally. bboat11 are you able to confirm either way? lol
Anyways, I am so thrilled to see "The House That Built Me" be the #1 here. I talk a lot about songs that hit close to home for me and a lot of times those tend to be favorites for me and this is one of those. This song reminds me of my Grandmothers house and it is even more bittersweet to see this win today of all days as my Grandfather and Uncle were still living in that house even after my Grandmother sadly passed back in 2011 but now that my Grandfather passed this past February my Uncle is now selling the house and today was the first day the house went on the market and was shown to possible buyers. That house has been the most constant place in my life as I've moved a lot. That being said, it hasn't been home or even felt like it since my Grandmother left us and I think it is for the best for all of us to move on. Anyways, before I ramble to much, I'm so happy it won and believe it was 1000% the only choice for #1!
Thanks bboat11 for hosting, you did a great job. We all know you've had a lot going on and with everything you've managed to do a great job keeping everyone engaged and excited to see what was next! Cannot wait for your other rankdowns but ESPECIALLY Jamie O'Neal!!!! I absolutely LOVE her Shiver album and cannot wait to do it!

Unfortunately my data is dead :'( I fell behind on all the info last September, so it's all horribly out of date. I mean, I still have the spreadsheet, and I have still been listing all the rankdowns chronologically as they finish, so it's not totally dead! But I do need to sit down someday and fill out all the missing data for all those rankdowns...

I think itâs safe to say then that a new BotB/RotB system is needed!

I think itâs safe to say then that a new BotB/RotB system is needed! I mean, I have data for 160 rankdowns between our last BotB rankdown and when I finally fell behind on the data, so we could do quite a few of them before I need to get myself caught up again
