So many great honorable mentions! Too bad deleted Cruise DWTLWI is not in here, would make my top 5 for the year. Also love Rita Coolidge You and ED&JFC WNHTSGA (hit #9 but only 8 weeks in the top 40--sad it missed the 1978 YE).

Thanks rowellfarm490 for including all the extras. I just got through all them. Really enjoyed the Rose Royce song Ooh Boy as well as the Millie Jackson cover of If You're Not Back in Love by Monday (miles better than Merle, who I usually love but his version doesn't hold a candle to hers). Mick Jackson's Blame It on the Boogie was good, but damn I love the Jackson's version (one of my favorites of theirs, how it didn't do better I don't know). Rita Coolidge's You was better than I expected. Stillwater's Mindbender was a great rocking southern rock find, but not on Spotify (unfortunately). Love Walter Egan's Hot Summer Nights (check out his version of Unloved from the same album which was produced by Lindsey Buckingham and I'm pretty sure has Stevie Nicks on background vocals and sounds just like it came off a Fleetwood Mac album) and Zwol's New York City was enjoyable too. Petty's Listen to Her Heart is good, but not one of my favorites. Wet Willie had some talent as well. Paul Nicholas' On the Strip was okay, but I really enjoyed his video from the prior year of Heaven on the 7th Floor. Pretty good for 1977 standards and the song was fun too.

This list had some pretty un-noteworthy or bad songs and yet we're still putting reggae last just for the sake of it?
