Ok that's a relief
I mean, I love "Breakdown" too, but Petty's received plenty of love on this forum, so I don't mind a 'close but no cigar' here. On the other hand, my heart couldn't have taken "Trans-Europe Express" adding to Kraftwerk's history of robberies.

let's see what kinda mess you guys left behind these last two nights. 30. Let's All Chant - The Michael Zager BandClasic Disco staple. I love it, but obviously only 5 of us were chanting along. 29. Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man) - StyxI poroabably would have slotted this classic in my top if it wasnt for a few Disco classics I had to make room for. Always dug these medieval sounding melodies in the intros. That's the only aspect I like about Yes. 28. Long, Long Way from Home - ForeignerThat intro right there is all I really need to hear to be sold, but seriously this band before that "I Wanna Know What Love Is" bull was Arena Rock heaven. Love the way they incorporated the brass section in the chorus. I guess this rank is more expected on a song with a higher POP range of songs, but still guys open your ears this Rocks proper. 27. It's Late - QueenAnother big over the top Stadium Rock classic. Don't hear this one much on Classic Rock radio, but I do have this vinyl right behind my Freddy Mercury Funko. 26. Paradise By the Dashboard Light - Meat Loaf This is a good song. It kinda goes all over the place and loses me sometimes, but this time I made the effort to stick it through for Rockster's united 25. More Than a Woman - TavaresDopesn't hold a candel to the Bee Gees, but still a gorgeous disco melody. 24. Hot Shot - Karen YoungFalls where it should. Cool little underrated disco jam. 23. Kings and Queens - AerosmithAnother Rock classic somehow misses the top 20 and to top it off my Arena Rock nemisis somehow gives it the highest rank next to mine. , but I'll take it. Anyway for me this could very well be the closest Aerosmith got to heavy Metal skool and they sound amazing. Should have done more in this style. That scream must have scared some of you away? 22. Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody - BrickI didn't find this is Jazzy/funkish as "Dazz". "Dusic" would have been a better choice for me. 21. Ça plane pour moi - Plastic BertrandThis song is kinda cool and vocally scary at the same time. I dug the music and ooohoo the most. You know what this needed? Billy Idol. 20. Dance Across the Floor - Jimmy "Bo" Horne...and tank cleared. 'nuff siad. 19. Runnin' with the Devil - Van HalenWhen I said "mess" I didn't think you all would completely slaughter the entire rank down. Seriously? A split for a hard rock classioc like this? I'm at a complete loss for words. I will say this. You could omit the music completely and just leave Dave's vocals and screams and it would still be my #1 song. True Story. 18. Rockaway Beach - RamonesWhat the hell happened to the audio? Anyway this is a good slot for the song. Not in my top 10 Ramones songs. Besides if I wanna hear a better version of this song I'll put on "Rock n Roll High School" or better yet just watch the movie... again. 17. Boogie Shoes - KC & The Sunshine BandFun song. Fair slot. Some of you need a new pair of shoes. 16. Soft and Wet - Prince Once in a great while a Prince song will show up that I don't gel well with. I'll put in Prince ala SEX language terms so you can better understand. This melody is too gooey to flow in a nice creamy fashion. 15. Dance (Disco Heat) - SylvesterClassic Disco number. These songs were starting to get my top 20 crowded so they falling where they should. 14. Movin' Out (Anthony's Song) - Billy JoelUnmistakenably a Billy Joel song. Few artists can make the piano sound tuff as Billy could. Good slot. 13. I Love You - Donna SummerI love a good number of Donna's song, but I don't like a few of them. Always found this one a bit too busy in melody. WTF did I just say? yeah it can happen. 12. Josie - Steely DanDon't get used to me not tanking this band, but here is a Steely Dan song I wouldn't mind revisiting. The guitar parts and even the vocals sounded a lot more eventful this time around. 11. Breakdown - Tom Petty and The HeartbreakersI belive this could easily be the first Tom petty song I ever heard so it holds a special place in my archives. It is simple, but oh soo cool and slick in vocals. Love his Boston accent in this jam. **Once again this RD really made a mess of the Rock vibe in the top 10, and it kinda leaves me handicapped, but I still have four full fledge jams left. Two Rock and two Disco. Hope my highest of the four takes the crown, but fat chance becuase it is probabaly too too popular for some players? Rounding off my list are a couple more good songs in my top 20 and a few others I would have dropped off a few nights ago.

Great top 10, no surprises much.
Even my #45 I don't dislike at all, so don't call it "tanked".

Since it was an extremely close finish I'm going to do a preview post of the top 3 instead of just the final 2 BLAME IT ON THE BOOGIE vs. EVERYBODY DANCE vs. LOVELY DAY
-this trio of songs was separated by less than 5 points having point totals of 525, 526, and 528 -each had a low standard deviation: 2nd, 7th, and 18th lowest -2 of these songs spent time in the lead being in first place for a combined 7 movements -all three received 9 top 10 rankings -just 3 bottom half rankings remain and each song received such a ranking -all of us ranked at least one of these songs top 10 -several of us had all three in our top 10: singingrulebritannia , BB🌕 , Mirago , and wrip along with myself - Soulsista ranked all three top 5 -only Soulsista and Mirago still have their #1s in the game
