When is the last time one of these things was big enough to actually bring in a decent amount of funds? That userβs shtick is logging in to make up fake collaborations featuring Gunna Ha ok, though I'd still like to know the answer lol. So many have happened where I wondered if even $1000 was raised.

I'd imagine We Are The World in 1985 brought in a significant amount. According to Wikipedia, the single sold 20 million worldwide, and the album sold 3 million is the USA alone.

Even if a charity song blew up on streaming, it still wouldn't be enough to make much of a difference, sadly

Also networth /=/ cash you have on hand, nor do I have any memory of any A-list musician including those who are much richer than them donating over $3.5 million of their money so it would seem weird to specifically try to single them out for 'only' raising/contributing that much.

I was being sarcastic and more mocking the tone of the song would be to get us through COVID, "cheer us up" Also, even if no other act donated $3.5M they still don't get any applause for raising because I remember, there were DISCOUNTS for a song that was supposed to be a charity single. As someone with a brother who's frontline worker, having discounts on something that's supposed to raise funds for anything, let alone frontline workers, is a fucking disgusting thing to do. I'm sorry

I'm sorry Using tactics on a charity song for chart achievements is trashy but the original question was simply what was the last charity song that actually raised considerable money. Not whether we thought they shouldβve raised/contributed more or whether they warranted praise. And the tactics probably had more to do with Scooter Braun than Ariana Grande tbh.

It looks like Heat Waves, WDTAB, abcdefu, and Super Gremlin are pretty much locked in to the Top 4 this week. The battle for #5 is between Stay, Ghost, and EOM. With how fast EOM is falling, it could drop all the way down to #7, and itβs possible Ghost can keep both Stay and EOM outside the Top 5 this week. (CLB release week was the only week since Stayβs debut in July that neither Stay nor EOM was in the Top 5 of the Hot 100.)

Considering Kodak Black has one of the biggest hits right now, his album is underperforming Super Gremlin's only successful because of the sample and instrumental

What a shock! This has never happened before with either of his other top 10 hits! /j

Even EOM, Stay, Heat Waves, and Shivers feel like they have more going on and thatβs saying something. Also the album sadly isnβt underperforming that much because he has 4 songs in the AM top 10.
