^there’s nothing wrong with HMH, it’s just very very safe, which might be something she needs since she tried to go outside the box with CP and it kind of backfired in her face. I could see this being another top 10 for her. Just hope Burn doesn’t get shelved. It needs to be a single. What was outside the box about CP? Maybe the lead single to a degree (though not in a major way), but "Love Wins" was safe/boring and "Southbound" was made for radio. I was referring to the single CP. Radio played it right away because it was the first Carrie Underwood single in 2 years, but then it struggled because it didn’t sound like what country radio considers “country.” But honestly, whether something is “country” sounding or not is highly subjective and debatable. We can’t ignore that CP and LW slowed her radio momentum a little.

It doesn’t help she’s continuing to choose weak singles like with GS

So true! I’m kind of ready to move on from GS and hope they choose a stronger single especially leading into tour.
I’m really excited for the tour!! Side note I hope she doesn’t take a 4 year break again from making new music. I know it’s early to say that but just throwing it out there!

She also had "IIDLY" before this new era. It's clear radio will still player her with the right song.

I agree radio is still in her corner, just not enough for them to send everything automatically to the top 3 like they used to. I think she still has plenty of hits left in her if she sticked to songs that would fit well on radio. Which is crazy cause I feel like many songs on here would fit perfectly on the radio, I’m not sure why they chose one of the few songs that doesn’t to be a single, let alone the lead single.

Yes, though of course the real question is catering to radio versus streaming as they aren't necessarily the same audience.

She got a cute little mention in a recent episode of Abbott Elementary.

The iHeart concert was pretty amazing! Loved hearing GG, DL, VH, and CA! Carrie seemed so relaxed, and the whole vibe was great! Definitely recommend 💯

After watching Carrie perform “Crazy Angels” a few times, I’ve started to sorta visualize a live show music video mixed with personal and career footage of Carrie. I think if it becomes a single, it would make for a great closing single with footage from the tour & her life/career. It’s not my first choice for a single, but if it is one I hope it closes the era!

I finally bought my ticket, who else has bought any of the package deals? Those were the only close seats to the stage, my eyes are bad already I don’t need to be straining them further. I’m asking if it’s worth redeeming the items that come with those packages because honestly at this point in my life most things that I don’t need are categorized as junk.

I highly doubt it because the logistics and training seem crazy, but I’m wondering if she’ll bring the rope work she did for GS on the CMT Awards to her shows? I think I said it before, but it seems like something difficult to learn for just one showing…
It’s hard to imagine anything more at her shows, they are always top-notch spectacles. I’m excited she’s still in this phase of making bigger and better shows. I won’t be seeing it until February so I will inevitably spoil it for myself, but I truly cannot wait for this. I still feel very optimistic about this album era; if one of these songs catches on as single as this tour is going on, I don’t see why this album can’t become more popular than it has been thus far. There are plenty of examples of albums that didn’t take off until their second singles, or even later than that. Regardless, I’m excited for this tour, I really think this will be her best yet.

Outside of the duet with Blackface, what was Carrie's last top 10 on Billboard Country Songs?

Outside of the duet with Blackface, what was Carrie's last top 10 on Billboard Country Songs? "Hallelujah" with John Legend reached #3 and before that "Cry Pretty" at #5.

Not sure if it’s significant as to the next single, but I noticed Apple’s “Today’s Country” playlist replaced GS with HMH… Seems like all signs pointing to HMH!

IHeart is her best performance so far of her new songs. She's ready And old songs. That may be the best live performance I've ever heard of Before He Cheats. Those low note transitions were always tricky for her but DAMN. Smooth, velvety and supported. I also particularly loved Dirty Laundry and Blown Away. I can't get enough of the physicality she's put into her lower register.

The sweetest story. RIP to the QUEEN of country music! http://instagram.com/p/CjTPieiOMxu ETA: so at first I didn’t think anything of the fact that Carrie posted a picture of only Loretta, but then it dawned on me that I don’t think I’ve ever seen Carrie and Loretta photographed together. How is that possible!? I must be wrong… but I couldn’t find anything on Google.

I'm guessing she'll cover a Wham song on this tour.

I really do think this one will be a hit. It fits well with what’s on country radio lately; I think with some promo it’ll take off.

What position did “Ghost Story” peak #5, which is honestly an accomplishment considering the mega-hits that make up the rest of the top 5… Also considering it never showed actual signs of a “hit” other than callout scores, #5 ain’t bad! HMH should do at least as well, in my opinion.

When I first heard it I really thought it would get stuck in the 10-20 range, which it might have if it didn't have as good callout scores as it did. Happy we finally have another song that plays into radio's wheelhouse. I miss seeing her name at the top of the chart, as a solo artist.

Haven't seen very many reviews of this era. This is really the only one. Grady Smith's take is interesting. It starts around the 14:15 mark. He's a pretty popular reviewer on YouTube. He's been mixed on his opinions of Carrie in the past. This time is no different. youtu.be/UfkE0NCbWVY

I am still surprised this album never got a metacritic score. She's still one of the biggest females in country so I do not understand.

What position did “Ghost Story” peak 5 mediabase and I believe 6 on billboard. Correct me, anyone, if I'm wrong about Billboard

On Country Songs, which is the official country singles chart for Billboard, I don't think it made the top 10; maybe a #12 peak?

Got our tickets to Opening Night of her tour in Greenville, SC. Truly excited for it. My mom loves Carrie so much. We lost my dad recently and have all been trying to cope with losing him. I surprised my mom with the tickets and it meant the world to give her something to be excited about. 4 days to go! Opening night in Greenville, SC! I'm excited, but my Mom is beyond excited. It's all she talks about. She's telling everybody about it and how much getting to go means to her. I am so happy to be able to take her. Will be a wonderful show and a special memory to have with my mom. One plug for the location. If you've never been to Greenville, SC you should visit someday. It's one of the most beautiful downtowns in the US. Not too big, but growing, with a river running right through it and a suspension walking bridge.
