^I don't think I see Carrie joining The Voice as Blake's replacement happening. For one thing she is a lot more loyal (almost to a fault) to American Idol than Kelly ever has been. For another I don't know that people would go for two Idols on the same show at the same time, unless it was for a season Kelly wasn't on.

Carrie just doesn't have the right personality to be a judge on The Voice.  She's awkward enough in interviews let alone *that* much time in front of the camera.  She'd just get savaged on social media and get called Farm Bot all over again.

Yeah, I don't see it happening either. Although, I believe that the so-called "loyalty" towards Idol is a bit silly at this point in her career, especially since the original format of the show that catapulted the likes of her and Kelly to superstardom is nothing more than a distant memory in the early '00s pop culture graveyard by now. It's not the same show.

Also, I just don't see her personality-type as being well-suited toward the already-established and expected dynamic of the show. I doubt that she'd ever truly let loose and allow herself to really have fun interacting with the contestants and her fellow coaches. She's certainly not as awkward as she once was, but I do think she would still come off as more guarded and uptight compared with the other celebrity personalities on the show. She's too blasé by nature and isn't very good at feigning interest or excitement when it isn't there. 😆 She'd end up coming off as an ice queen.

Well put, Missy.  The Voice is all about the judges and the cult of personality that they create so it just doesn't work for an introvert.

I don’t know. I…could see her doing it. It’d be a great way to keep her in the public eye without having to also withstand the stress and upkeep of touring, promo circuits, etc. It’d be a fresh and unique thing to do. She’s already going to be spending plenty of time on the west coast in 2023 when Reflection comes back, and Vegas is only a 4 hour drive away.

And I wouldn’t necessarily be mad at it, either. Sometimes the most random or unexpected things for her have turned out to be positive. I feel like, especially with the personality/shyness aspect, people said the same thing about her going into cohosting the CMAs and it ended up being a career-defining piece of her legacy.

Spice it up a bit. Let’s see what happens.

I think it really depends on how comfortable she is with the other judges. Also just how scripted the show actually is (I don't follow The Voice much).

CMA Co-hosting worked so well mainly because she has so much chemistry and comfort around Brad, plus they have planned and rehearsed those lines and skits so many times. I am not sure how she would fare if there is more spontaneity needed.

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more Carrie though! Especially if we get to see more of her fun side!

Yeah, The Voice is kind of running on fumes at this point. It’s now the go-to spot for acts like Camila Cabello and Niall Horan. Unless there’s some major shakeup there, I’d avoid that.

Years ago, I remember reading an interview with Brad Paisley where he suggested the idea of a weekly variety show with Carrie. I know his star has long since faded, but I think that would be a surprise hit and work wonders for both of them.

I don't really want Carrie as a host on anything because that's just not really her personality trait and I'm not ready for all the "she's so cold,snobby,diva-like,distant" comments from the general public that would come with it. If for whatever reason she did become a host I really think she'd go back to Idol.

Yeah, I agree that Carrie would not do well as a host of something like The Voice. Based on the interviews I've seen of her, she's very reserved and lacks a big personality which isn't a problem per se but it would not make sense for her to be a personality on a consistent show.

This would be awesome for Carrie and Brad to do something together like that. They are perfect together hosting things. I do not see Carrie doing anything that films in LA or NY. Her family is in Nashville, and her children are in school. While I think she's very interested in continuing her career, I think she's interested in the musical side, or if something interesting, like you spoke of, came up for her with Brad......AND filmed in Nashville

Speaking of Brad, I think he’d be a much better fit for something like “The Voice”. He’s far from similar to Blake Shelton, but I think he’d fill the void pretty well. He’s funny and country - Carrie could be his advisor!

I’d love for Carrie to do something like “The Voice”, but I have reservations when it comes to her shy personality. We’ve definitely seen Carrie come out of her shell before, like when she co-hosted the CMAs, but “The Voice” is on a different level. I can just see there being extra scrutiny over Carrie’s personality… even if she’s doing just fine, which would then make things worse. Moreover, I fear she’d struggle to fit in only to get unfairly beaten up for it. I could be totally wrong, she could do it and soar to new career heights (of course that’s what’s I’d hope for), but she’s just so shy and conservative that I could see it being a little uncomfortable.

I think Carrie has an adorable personality, but she’s shy and sometimes awkward. As fans we see it all the time, we know Carrie as well as fans could and understand her to be shy. However, general audiences are quick to conflate shy with conceited; and they’re aggressively out to pick on those who don’t overexert progressive behaviors/thoughts. We know that’s not Carrie…

Taylor won both Country Album and Female, she also cleaned up the Pop categories. Not surprising, but now I’ll just look for Carrie’s performance after the show…

Sorta bummed, felt like Carrie could’ve grabbed one of them, but Taylor is on fire right now.

Thus, Carrie’s ‘Country Album’ streak officially ends.

Ever since the announcement Blake is (finally!!) leaving The Voice, I've hoped she might end up taking the seat. I mean, on their end, she's one of the only names they could get that would boost their ratings or at least keep them from capsizing, and of course being on a show would help her in return (much like it did for Blake and Idol did for Keith Urban). I don't think she'd be being disloyal to Idol by going on there. Well, for one, Idol was beating it last spring in the ratings when they were against each other and probably will again this coming season. For another, I believe Idol buried the hatchet with The Voice a while ago, with several former Voice contestants ending up on Idol. She'd still appear on Idol whenever they asked, I imagine.

I say all that more as a fan thinking of the benefits it might have for her continued success and relevancy, not so much because I like The Voice. I've never been a big fan of the show itself. I only ever watched if there was someone on there I liked (Christina, then Usher one year), the only recent season I watched was the one with Ariana and Kelly; probably not since JHUD before that. I love Kelly and Nick Jonas, but they weren't enough to make me put in the effort (especially since I already watch Kelly's talkshow, I don't need to watch The Voice to see her).

That might have been her worst performance in a while. The “acrobatics” were very uncomfortable to watch and the camera angles weren’t helping. And when she landed, girl was out of breath and singing so hard. People do those kind of performances because they don’t have the gift that Carrie does. Maybe just under rehearsed? I don’t know.

Also can’t help but wish she had promoted her single?

Loved that performance. I think only she and Pink sang live, at least up until Carrie's performance, I cut to football directly after.

The performance was fun. Her vocal was great, pitchy in some parts but overall was still great. The band however, was too loud and almost drowned her voice.

That was my favorite live TV performance from Carrie in a long while. She was having so much fun and that made it so much fun to watch. She sounded great, and her red carpet look was one of her best ever.

I DO NOT think she is doing it. Like at all. BUT, to add fuel to the Carrie replacing Blake on The Voice speculation fire, I will say this. None of her fall 2023 REFLECTION dates conflict when the voice would be in the live rounds in November and December 2023…

I was wondering why there’s no Christmas promo this year? Glad to see her Christmas music is playing, but I was hoping for a few performances this season, too!
