Double posting, but it’s slow and this is cool so… Despite lackluster sales, Carrie still managed to be the top female country artist of the year, according to Billboard. Nearly 18 years in and she’s still on top, love it! www.billboard.com/charts/year-end/top-country-artists/

Do we know why Carrie’s Hairstylist in LA currently?! As far as I know she only works for Carrie and she said she is there for work in her Instagram story…

Carrie ALWAYS shows up when she wins. Has Carrie ever been elsewhere when she won an award? Considering the hundreds of industry awards she has, it’s truly incredible that she’s always there to receive them!
She looks incredible! Fashion icon.

Lol. I think Carrie's hair and makeup artist used to have multiple high profile clients but now has a number of salons and has cut back to just Carrie as a personal client. I get the impression she only still works with Carrie because they are personal friends in addition to their professional relationship.

They should have released “She Don’t Know” before “Hate My Heart”. That song is just so infectious, and would have been a better lead up to “Burn”, which is the best song on the album IMO.

What the hell. One of them is Shania Twain! My absolute favorite but she’s only there from country playing her old songs, they’re not playing the new stuff.

Is it just me or has the song “Cry Pretty” aged flawlessly? I absolutely love that she continues to sing it.

Another random fact and observation: “Kingdom” is Carrie’s best album closer by a healthy margin.

I have to gush about how absolutely gorgeous & stunning the D&R tour program book is. The front & back are shiny & holographic. The inside photos are high quality, glossy & breathtaking. Some of the images are the same as the cd booklet but larger. I was so happy to see that her official store finally sold it.

I've never really cared for any of her album closers. They are usually some of my least favorite songs on an album by her. "Play On" might be my favorite closer from her.

I’d rank her album closers as followed:
1. What I Never Knew I Always Wanted 2. Garden 3. I Ain’t in Checotah Anymore 4. Wheel of the World 5. Play On 6. Kingdom 7. Who Are You
Agreed that except for WINKIAW, all the closets are toward the bottom (if not THE bottom) of the album for me

Her album closers are usually my least favorite for me, too. I’d rank them:
1. Kingdom
(these three could rotate depending on mood)
2. I Ain’t In Checotah Anymore 3. What I Never Knew I Always Wanted 4. Garden
5.Wheel of the World 😴😴
(maybe my least two favorite songs in her catalog tbh)
6. Who Are You 😴😴😴 7. Play On 😴😴😴

“Wheel of the World” and “Who Are You” are the only two that I literally never listen to unless I play each album all the way through… All the other closers are fantastic songs, and great closers imo. “Play On” was cheesy, but it was somehow the album’s namesake, and I don’t hate or love it… I’ll listen and sing along but it’s not a song I ever seek out.
Her last three stand out as my favorite three, but IAICA will always be a favorite (and major missed single opportunity - one of her catchiest songs ever, honestly).
1) Garden 2) WINKIAW 3) Kingdom 4) IAICA
5) Play On
6) Wheel of the World 7) Who Are You

Ok now let’s rank the album openers! lol
1. Cowboy Casanova 2. Good Girl 3. Wasted 4. Renegade Runaway
(Small space between)
5. Denim & Rhinestones 6. Flat On The Floor 7. Cry Pretty
I was going to include more spaces between some of them but I just couldn’t…they’re all pretty solid!

"Wasted" is the only opener I could do without (I still enjoy it overall) but the others are all great introductions to their respective albums.

1. Good Girl 2. Wasted 3. Cowboy Casanova 4. Flat on the Floor 5. Denim & Rhinestones 6. Renegade Runaway
7. Cry Pretty
All of these are in my top 5 for each album except (obviously) Cry Pretty.

Ok now let’s rank the album openers! lol 1. Wasted 2. Flat on the Floor ... 3. Cry Pretty 4. Good Girl 5. Cowboy Casanova 6. Denim & Rhinestones ... 7. Renegade Runaway I like them all well enough, but the first two are easily my favorites. If I ordered them by how well they introduce their respective albums, the rankings would be a bit different.

Openers: (some of her best songs...but I agree that if I ordered them by how well they introduce their albums the rankings would be different).
1. Wasted 2. Cowboy Casanova 3. Flat on the Floor 4. Good Girl
5. Renegade Runaway
6. Cry Pretty 7. Denim & Rhinestones
Closers: (honestly I'm kind of meh about all of these, even the top ones)
1. Inside Your Heaven if that counts since it was the bonus track closer on Some Hearts 2. Garden 3. Play On 4. Wheel of the World 5. Who Are You 6. What I Never Knew 7. I Ain't in Checotah 8. Kingdom

The openers are hard for me because while I realize Good Girl and Cowboy Casanova are better songs than most of these, and I once liked them more than I liked the others on the list, I've really tired of them over the years from overplaying them. I guess I'll go:
1. Wasted - Still not tired of it after all these years, especially love it live with the wailing outro and dual fiddles)
2. Cry Pretty - This live is always a moment. While I'm not always in the mood for the song, as it's far from easy-listening, I think it's one of the closest representations in her repertoire of who Carrie is as a person and artist.
3. Renegade Runaway - Is this a blasphemous placing? Maybe. But I love the production and feel like it opens up my favourite Carrie album so well.
4. Flat On The Floor - An actual barnyard romp.
5. Denim & Rhinestones - Loved it when I first heard it, but it hasn't held up as well for me.
5. Cowboy Casanova - This was once one of my favourites in her catalog, but I've just heard it so many times...
6. Good Girl - Same comment as Cowboy Cassanova, but I prefer CC to GG.
I am self-aware that this list is extremely chaotic. I do like all these songs and they're leagues better than her album closers.

For openers i'd go with
Wasted Good Girl Cowboy Casanova Renegade Runaway Flat On The Floor Denim and Rhinestones ... Cry Pretty (this never clicked, I tried so hard to get into it but it's just too much to listen to repeatedly, I do respect it for what it means to her though.)
I've always been a sucker for her closers so I enjoy most of these. I do think it's cool that all of these closers are exactly where she was at in her personal life when their respective album was released.
What I Never Knew I Always Wanted Play On Garden Kingdom Wheel of the World I ain't in Checotah .... Who are you
