She is next level. Another fantastic show. Vocals on point, looks on point, acrobatics on point. She is the ultimate entertainer. Standout moment was “Welcome to the Jungle”… encore opener for the ages! I hope she gets to do that on TV someday, it’ll make for a moment for sure! Absolutely floored, once again. So well done, start to finish. Also, as much flack as FOTF gets as a mainstay concert number among die-hards, it absolutely resonates with the crowd… Some of the loudest cheers were for FOTF. I personally would’ve preferred a D&R song in that spot, but it definitely worked as is. Oh, and I updated my list a few posts back because I totally forgot the Foxwoods show I went to in 2019! Yes! I was just telling my friend the same thing yesterday. No exaggeration, I noticed my jaw had dropped by the end of "Cry Pretty." An unforgettable performance.

Carrie just announced in her Charlotte show tonight that she adopted a new puppy for the boys today! Can’t wait for more details 🥰 I’m on Carrie show #13 tonight and I drug my fiancé to his first so we are having a ball! https://www.instagram.com/p/CokyFHBvunr

Lets all gather and make a wish that Carrie will headline superbowl. Imagine the fire and the energy she will bring to the stage.

Lets all gather and make a wish that Carrie will headline superbowl. Imagine the fire and the energy she will bring to the stage. What a dream that would be. I still think it’s a real possibility… If she ever got the opportunity, I think they’d probably have multiple artists, but my hope would be that she gets the whole segment and invites her own guests. G&R would be great except that I hear Axl’s vocals are pretty rough these days - so that could backfire. There is no doubt that Carrie would deliver a spectacle, stunning millions across the country - I just hope she gets the chance! I have to imagine it’s something she’d love to do!? I know contractually it’s quite a binding thing, and it takes months of prep and rehearsal, but the end result would surely be amazing. Let’s pray!

I couldn't see her turning it down if offered. I'd also be a bit bitter if she had to co-headline with other country artists as she's simply in a league of her own as an entertainer within the genre. I'm kind of doubting she'll get the gig, as it's become such a global event and the artists that tend to get it are/were very popular on a global scale.
I read something last week about Jay-Z's production company having a say in choosing artists for the Superbowl the past few years and moving forward. I have NO idea if it's accurate at all, so please don't quote me. But I couldn't see that working in Carrie's favour.
I do feel like if they had her do it, she would ask G&R (although I'd rather watch her crush a cover of Paradise City solo considering Axel's vocals). If she was to invite another artist, I would love for her to get Dolly in on it. Who doesn't love her?! I could imagine something like this:
Blown Away (Acapella start) Cowboy Casanova Dolly: Jolene or Here You Come Again (Carrie changes/moves to another part of the arena) I Will Always Love You (Carrie joins her on it) Before He Cheats (solo) Paradise City (with G&R) Church Bells (Choir ending and she goes off on the vocals)
I feel like she could easily include Jesus take the Wheel, All-American Girl, Something in the Water, Good Girl, and/or the Champion (considering the occasion). But I'm unsure if playing so many songs would go over as well as it does with other genres of music, as the transition between songs might be more jarring.

The last country artist to perform the half-time show was Shania in 2003 (and even she didn't do it alone). Before that was Clint Black, Tanya Tucker, Travis Tritt, and The Judds in 1994. So it is about time another country artist does it and I would love if that was Carrie.

So it is about time another country artist does it and I would love if that was Carrie. I feel that way too but I also think the point of the halftime show is to draw people in who might not be as into the game as others. Obviously this is a stereotype, but I feel like most country music fans are also fans of the NFL (again, not all, but quite the majority). And despite a few years ago when a lot of them saying they will never watch the NFL again, I think they have all (quietly) backtracked on that. I feel like the best bet would be Carrie with Tyler and also G&R. And that setlist someone mentioned above was perfect. I think they would need to keep the Jesus songs out of it as well. I no longer see Carrie getting the nod to do this, but I think it's more because country music isn't what they're looking for. And it has nothing to do with Carrie.

However long Carrie continues to do SNF I will always think there is a possibility (even if small.) Like someone said above, if she’s not selected I think it would be more of not wanting a country halftime show than not wanting Carrie, cause out of all the mainstream country artists her catalog is probably the one that is the most well known outside of the country audience.

As much as I would love to see Carrie kill it at the halftime show, I don't see much possibility of her getting the gig simply because they tend to choose big names that appeal globally. Unfortunately, Carrie isn't that popular outside of the US, and she hasn't been doing that well mainstream wise too. I would love to be wrong though!
I think her best bet is definitely doing the show with another co-performer or having non-country guest performances.

#9s:
1. This Time (this has always been my favorite Carrie song. I just love it so much! Maybe even more so because she never releases these type of songs as singles lol)
2. Thank God For Hometowns (I’ve never found this one as boring as a lot of others do…I find it very relaxing and nice to listen to) 3. You Won’t Find This
4. Relapse 5. Wanted Woman
6. I Just Can’t Live ALie 7. Spinning Bottles (Idk maybe I need to listen to this one more but it’s never stood out to me at all)
Edit: Please correct me if I messed up on some of these lol somehow I had Last Name instead of You Won’t Find This and then The Bullet instead of Spinning Bottles when I first posted this 🙃

1. Relapse 2. You Won't Find This
3. I Just Can't Live a Lie
4. Wanted Woman 5. This Time 6. Spinning Bottles 7. Thank God for Hometowns
1 and 2 could alternate depending on the day. I like 3 but it's definitely a step below 1 and 2. The rest of these are meh.
Re: the halftime show. If it hasn't happened yet I don't see it happening. Not when Carrie is declining in popularity, and country music is not something super popular globally.

I actually like all of these haha 1. You Won't Find This - Could have made for a great single. A few people I know who aren't necessarily fans of Carrie's mention loving this song, which surprises me as it wasn't a single and is obviously older. 2. Relapse - Really loved this one during the golden Storyteller era. 3. Spinning Bottles - Her vulnerable delivery, the sparse production, and the lyrics are all excellent. 4. This Time - This one feels so young, carefree, and laid back. 5. Thank God for Hometowns - I've always seen people shit all over this song, but I've always found it relatable and really peaceful. 6. I Just Can't Live a Lie - used to listen to this one and think about coming out 7. Wanted Woman - I actually enjoy listening to this one as well regardless of the placement, it's sweet and easy-listening. I'm just more into Carrie's countrier efforts in general.

Saw Carrie live in DC yesterday, and the only thing I can say is WOW!! Some standouts were Wasted, Burn, Blown Away, and Cry Pretty.
Such amazing vocals + presentation. Such a great show!
One song I thought was a miss was Denim + Rhinestones (my favorite from the album). She brought out Jimmie Allen for it which was cool, but I was really looking for a soaring performance from that one and it was a little bit more subdued.
Still would give it an 11/10!

And I feel the same way with Wheel Of The World, Play On, Who Are You, and Inside Your Heaven. And I know a lot of others would say the same for WINKIAW and Kingdom. It’s the last-track-on-the-album curse! It always seems to be regarded as being boring or a forgettable track by a lot of fans 😭😭

1. "You Won't Find This"
Not going to rank the others because they don't come close to this one. One of Carrie's biggest missed opportunities for a single in my opinion.

Obviously my social media algorithms are set to maximum Carrie Underwood content, but it seems lately that buzz has been up regarding the tour, no?
I posted a ton a clips from the show I was at last weekend, and they’ve gotten more attention than most of my posts from previous tours, and I just seem to see extra content lately with lots of positive comments/likes… maybe it’s just me, but I love it.
This is the same girl who during and after ‘Idol’ faced heavy criticism for being a stiff performer. Look at her now…

Just popping in to say that “Garden” is such a beautiful song and it deserves more praise. Carrie on. I am a gardener and I really love this song. I grow flowers , not crops, but the message that there are humans who grow and create beauty around them and those who… don’t really resonated with me and the beautiful garden I’ve created in my dads backyard plus my life on this planet!
