Her response to his comments about judging reality competition shows was interesting. She *almost sounded defensive… hmmmm?? Her comments about the pressure of being “Carrie Underwood”, but not actually being the extroverted country diva people come to expect was interesting too. The Botox bit… our girl loves her luscious lips lol. Botox freezes muscles, like to prevent/address forehead wrinkles, crows feet, smile lines. Filler is used in lips. I'm guessing after the fall in 2017, filler had to be used after surgery and the stitches to maintain the shape. And now it's probably elective. |

Does anyone know if Carrie is performing, presenting or even attending the ACMs tomorrow night? Still holding out hope she wins Entertainer, but to me it is feeling like Luke Combs' year. I don't think they are ready to give it to Morgan Wallen yet.

Thinking she skips this year. Haven't heard anything of her performing. She didn't even acknowledge the nom. Would make the most sense for her to sit it out. She really doesn't have a reason to justify making the trip all the way to Texas just to lose the nom, if she's not promoting anything.
Would love to see her there as always, but I'm just thinking how she's probably looking at it. Plus, these are kind of an afterthought anyway, being specifically on Prime in May, when the CMTs were when these normally take place, and on a major network as well.

Oh I think she’ll be there.
There’s been a number of times where we didn’t know if she’d be attending a show, but 9 times out of 10 she does. She’s a nominee and 3x EOTY, my guess is that she will be in attendance.
Could be wrong, wouldn’t shock me if she isn’t there but it would be a little out of the norm.

It's so sad to see how hard the ACMs have fallen. They really need to be televised on network tv like all the other country award shows if they want to maintain relevance.

OOTT sounds great live! At this point I think it has to get released to radio. I think they’re just waiting til they make the announcement about new music before officially dropping HMH and sending it to radio

I think it's a super fun song, and it's streaming really well. it's not meant to be deep, just a fun summer song. That being said, I have my doubts it gets released.
And I'm a Smoke Break fan forever. RR was too loud in the chorus. I think it was the perfect lead single. I still spin SB.

OOTT is such an easy listen, and sounds like could've easily been on Some Hearts or Carnival Ride. Truly hoping HMH will be pulled soon. I'm just tired of the nothingness of the updates it brings.
I am a little worried that they just move on from everything released all together. Her cover photo wasn't replaced with anything OOTT related, just a promo for her residency, which is on brand with something she would change it to when she ends an era.

Looks like Reba, John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan are the judges this fall. I was pretty ambivalent about Carrie doing this anyway. Reba's personality is perfect for this type of show. Wonder if Kelly is done since she is moving her show to NYC permanently? I know Carson goes back and forth, but not sure Kelly will want to do that with a show and young children. If Carrie ever did a show, I still say it would be Idol. But, I think she knows it's not really in her personality to do one. |
