I think i’m the only one who is not amazed by ‘Truck’. I mean it’s a good song, but i still prefer Burn, Faster, and Pink Champange over it. The production reminds me of If I Didnt Like You, which i also did not really enjoy (except Carrie’s harmony). But hopefully it does as well as IIDLY. Lets hope we get a killer video. Wow, the first time I heard IIDLY I knew it was going to smash. My favorite duet of hers to date, because of the song, not necessarily the duet partner lol I love OOTT, but radio seems to want to play her depending on how the song is doing. Hopefully it's streaming success helps. |

^^ I wonder if she’d be co-hosting the Today Show by now, and only showing us her vocal gift when they do some random “anchors reveal their hidden talent” type of segment. From that alone, viewers would’ve started to clamor for more.

After I finished losing my shit I snagged two front row aisle seats in what seems like the first riser section (I'm not a floor girl now that I've come down with a case of the olds) for the Nashville show. They were resale tickets so I had to cough up a lung. But it's okay because this is my F&%$ING DREAM!!!!!!! |

ETA … makes me wonder if perhaps there may actually be an international leg of the tour, or a third leg in general? They always have something planned! I’m just excited for some new music and whatever else they have planned!

Disappointing to they're going down this route, and the rollout is bizarre. Still 6 more tracks is always a positive, and hopefully we'll get an international tour announced soon.
Also is the second track we're hearing from it a Cry Pretty reject?

She said “Take Me Out” was sort of the catalyst for D&R. I know it’s been registered for a while. It was written by Carrie, Hillary Lindsey, and David Garcia. I really enjoyed it. It’s got a nice groove to it.
She performed all of the D&R songs that weren’t included on the tour. “Faster” was beautiful. She said it’s one of her favorites. ❤️

God IS REAL. SO VERY REAL. This is going to be a VERY good fall. Picture it: OOTT at #1, a good set of promo, a new leg of tour, new performances…what a time to be alive!!! Look at you little D&R, getting the second wind you deserve!! The little album that could!!! GIVE US THIS 18-TRACK ALBUM MOTHER!!! Not gonna listen to the clip so as to be surprised, but “Take Me Out” is going to be yet another smash. Calling it now.

Love that we are getting more songs, but just not crazy about deluxe editions in general. Obviously i will make an exception for Carrie though lol getting new music from her is always a welcome sight. Now i wish i would have tried to go to the FCP, sounds like it was pretty awesome. Maybe next year.
Did anyone ask her why she’s not doing CMA Fest this year? Very weird to me that she’s not. When is the last time she didn’t do it?

I really love what I heard of Take Me Out. I'm calling it now, this will connect as well as OOTT has been. (single four maybe???) Will this deluxe era be a hit era for Carrie???!! With the way OOTT is going, I think there's a real chance XD

^ Maybe she’s always been super against deluxe albums (kinda like remixes and releasing songs after they’ve leaked) but the label made her do it. So she’s kinda like forcing herself to announce it and not cry because she’s so upset about it hahahaha jk but it really did seem like she was kinda going through some emotions when she announced it

While normally I feel deluxe editions released after the fact feel cash grabby to me, given how the original 12-track album felt a little lackluster, I'll gladly take six more songs. I just hope this isn't a regular occurrence with her albums moving forward.

I mean the entire era being such a flop has got to do with the single choices. Like they must realize by now that is the root of the problem. If they had launched the era with Burn, and songs like Hate My Heart were kept as drafts on a hard drive, I’m sure they’d be singing an entirely different tune.

Is it just me or did Carrie seem overly emotional making that announcement? Felt a little odd to me Me and a few others have noticed this as well. I wonder why I personally think she's always a little emotional when she announces things on the spot or on her IG. Kinda like how she was when she announced her final show of D&R. Also, in person, she didn't seem super emotional, just excited, and like she had been keeping the secret for a long time?! Also, look at her face again when she's announcing. She's excited, and waiting to see the reaction from the audience. She knows we're stoked. She said she finally got it off her back, she's been carrying around the secret for a while. She said she's excited about it.

Nice! I always thought it was weird that they didn't release a vinyl that wasn't exclusive to her store. Maybe they'll release the deluxe version to retail on vinyl.

Really hope one of the 6 new songs(well, we can narrow that down to 4 i suppose since we for sure know 2 of them) is a big time duet. But not the Cody duet. Something new we don’t know about yet.
Also, i think it would smart to tack on IIDLY as a bonus track, cuz why not? Couldn’t hurt.
