While I would have been fine with them moving onto the next album, I didn't see that happening with how Carrie’s album timelines seem to operate. If the alternate option was moving onto the Cody duet, I'd prefer they push OOTT with a deluxe so we get at least one hit out of this era and it doesn't remain with just GS and HMH as underwhelming singles. And I'll always take more Carrie music. I hope it streams well and they decide to put more tracks on her next album. I still hold out a bit of hope that they announce international dates soon, but not holding my breath.
Can we expect an alternate cover, aside from “deluxe edition” added somewhere? Or do artists not do this for deluxe editions?

I know with streaming songs tend to be shorter nowadays but I sincerely hope there's at least one 4 minutes song on the deluxe edition. That is all I'm asking lol. The standard album just felt too short for me in that regard. Some of the songs felt like they were trying to rush through them. And sometimes it's okay to let a song have room to breathe.

Where are you guys hearing Take Me Out from???????????? I saw some clips on Twitter of her performance yesterday at the fan club party. I’m trying to find them now but I can’t, I think that’s what people are referring to. |

Whether it be the tour book or the CD booklet, those pictures are always my favorite. I’d love if they made the cover one of those, especially since it could be an incentive for fans to buy the deluxe as many might want to collect both covers |

Yeah I’d love a new cover for the deluxe. I would t even mind if they used the OOTT single cover as the deluxe album cover, because it think it’s one of her best pictures.

OMG the snippet is out and i am LOVING it !!!!!
This is the sound i was hoping she would take. It is so easy listening and she sounded like an angel. Something similar to Faster . The production is a bit town down compared to Other tracks on D&R.
Edit : I just heard a longer version and it is AMAZINGGGGGGGGG. This fits right with D&R song, Faster, Wanted Woman in term of production.

Great call on the label to release OOTT. So nice to see a song connecting well from a woman 35+! I will be rooting for this one to do well.
I think we outta reign in some of these expectations though too (although I know that is part of the fun). Reading people say multiple week #1 hit etc is still going to be hard. I think if Carrie had released this 10+ years ago, there's no doubt. But with the sexism of country radio towards women (and even more so when women aren't in their 20s) and the little momentum Carrie has, I still think a Top 5 hit, with good streaming numbers and a hit song to help sell the deluxe album, all you Carrie fans should be delighted.
I guess what I am saying is if expectations are so high and then they don't meet them, a top 5 will feel like it's not a hit - when it still will be! I think I remember someone in here thinking D&R was going to sell massively because they didn't have any albums of it at their Target and then it was such a letdown when the sales number were pretty low.
This song is just right in Carrie's wheelhouse and deserves to be a hit!

“Take Me Out” is just gorgeous. Carrie Underwood love songs are on another level. They make you FEEL.

“Take Me Out” is just wonderful. It is such a vibe, I love the euphoric production and melody. Carrie sounds absolutely angelic on love songs like this and “Faster”. I wish she’d do more of them. I love the way she sings it as well. I can see this song really resonating with people, it’s Heartbeat: City Version. Just such a relaxing and catchy song that Carrie sounds beautiful in. It is a song I want to get lost in and it makes me want to sway to it in some old dive bar in the dark ;), it’s just such a vibe!

I am absolutely in love with take me out, so catchy, soothing & beautiful! That lyric video is the most gorgeous one so far! The price for the vinyl (and for vinyls in general) is one of the reasons I stick with CDs. Very beautiful picture disc though.
Also, this is the first time the vinyls will be released the same date as the CDs which means this deluxe edition has been planned for a while, especially considering vinyl manufacturing
