This would've been perfect, musically and thematically. Each song following the other makes sense from a lyrical standpoint. GS could've been the throwaway fourth single if they insisted on releasing it.

I feel like the 6 minute version of Cry Pretty is probably just another 2 minutes of her wailing at the end. In addition to the one minute of wailing that was left in the the final cut. I doubt there are any cut versus from it.

I do kind of echo the feelings of wanting to move on from this era. I really hate that "Out of That Truck" was allocated to be a single after any hype for her album is gone and all her momentum is sucked out, because the way it's been streaming, it would've smashed hard on the radio if it was the lead single. I mean, it's already surpassed HMH in streams and if continues to stream like it has, will surpass Ghost Story in the next 3-4 months. I'm hoping for a top 10 from it, and think it will most likely get there, but think it would've been a sure thing #1 if it was the lead. Whereas now, I feel like radio is hesitant to convert it given how HMH performed.

I just hope her/her team have learned from their mistakes from this era and do things different next era. Cause aside from the tour, this hasn't felt like an album era at all. Felt like it was here and gone in the blink of an eye.

I know she’s said multiple times that she wanted to do something different with her voice on “Cry Pretty,” but opted against it because she didn’t think she could replicate it live every night. I’m wondering if that’s part of of the original cut.

The only songs over five minutes on any of Carrie's albums is on her gospel album. I would totally be here for some longer songs from her. Even if it is just her going off vocally.

I think the setlist is great. She's definitely leaning into her rock-tinged songs and power anthems. I'm surprised she didn't do her cover of Ozzy's Mama I'm Coming Home. Her rendition is great and I'm sure it would've won her more points with the audience. Alone is expected and unexpected. It's her, its the main song people I think remember from Idol. Its on par or better than the original, but she hasn't performed it in probably over a decade. She Don't Know would've been good to add, too. I plan on seeing her when she and GnR head to Nashville!

Time & place for songs like JTTW, AAG, etc. An opening set for one of the biggest rock/metal bands of all time was best tailored for her edgier material. Metalheads aren’t exactly known for embracing the Lord mid-show, lol.
