I've always been a fan of rocker Carrie. So, this setlist is right up my alley. If she's bringing out old concert covers like "Alone," I'd love to hear her do one of my favorite covers I ever heard her do, "Voices Carry." Carrie truly is one of those artists who can go in any direction she wants. Rock is certainly an option, which she has proven many times in concert. But I'm still hopeful for a more traditional country album first. I just want to hear that cry in her voice shine through. Actually the cry works pretty well in "Voices Carry" also.

Time & place for songs like JTTW, AAG, etc. An opening set for one of the biggest rock/metal bands of all time was best tailored for her edgier material. Metalheads aren’t exactly known for embracing the Lord mid-show, lol. Like I said I get it, but I do feel like JTTW was a big enough hit that she could have justified it.

I'm so glad that Carrie knows her audience and didn't opt to sing "Jesus Take The Wheel" at a freakin' Guns N Roses concert. Just the thought of it alone is absolutely hilarious to me. 😂 🤣
On a more serious note, I would have liked if she brought back the cover of Skid Row's "I Remember You" for this event. I think it would be a guaranteed crowd pleaser. If I remember correctly, band frontman Sebastian Bach even tweeted her cover back in the day and gave her props.

I think Carrie made a good choice, but I think this situation is unique in that she probably could’ve kept the audience interested with or without JTTW. Yes, for the audience it makes sense to stick with the rocky / edgier stuff. However, I see the point, too, that JTTW is a megahit.. it literally coined - or at least made popular - a commonly used phrase in the English language. I’m sure a good amount of the audience would’ve appreciated the performance just as much if she included the song… it’s not just a hit, it’s an American classic that almost everyone knows. However, all things considered if a career hit had to be cut to make room for current stuff and covers, it just had to be JTTW… so ehhh, I guess I don’t feel strongly either way, but I probably wouldn’t have missed it if I were there so I think she made the right call.

I thought the same thing, about bringing back "I Remember You" because she's so f***ing great at it, but seeing as Axl and Sebastian hate each other I don't think Carrie would want to risk stepping on her new BFF's toes at his own concert. 🤣

Give Her That is.. cute but probably the weakest song in the entire album I quite like it. It's giving Carnival Ride Carrie. I just love this lady's voice. I'm also a sucker for nostalgia-leaning songs ("Burn" still slaps). It kind of reminds me of it, actually. After, like, 5 listens, I'd probably take it over "Take Me Out" and half of the standard edition. But it's obviously so new, so I'll re-assess in a few weeks

I like "Give Her That" but can see why it was saved for the deluxe edition. It doesn't feel like the standard version of the album and it would have been out of place. But I still enjoy it.

It wouldn’t fit on the album well sonically, but ironically I think it’s right behind OOTT in terms of radio friendliness.

I actually really like Give Her That. Better than some of the weaker songs on the standard album (Faster & Wanted Woman.)

Faster and Wanted Woman are two of the best songs on D&R what.

They are the weakest, but they fit the theme of the album better than the bonus tracks so it was the right call.

“Give Her That” is well-written and her vocal is emotive as hell. I love how slyly bitter the whole thing is - it’s one of her more complicated songs thematically. I’m impressed.
OOTT > GHT > TMO

I'm so speechless & blown away (pun intended)! Give her that is so moving & emotional! Her flawless vocals work wonders for this song.

I've loved "Wanted Woman" ever since I heard the snippet and "Faster" reminds me of "Heartbeat" which is such a cute song.

I LOVE GHT, it's classic Carrie. It's one of my favorite songs on the album. The Deluxe has been amazing so far. I love Wanted Woman, but Faster is probably my least favorite song on the album. But yea, the deluxe songs are up there for me. Give Her That sounds like a number one summer ballad, but that's back when radio would play her.

Adore Carrie’s singing on Give Her That. Her phrasing and ability to emote is unparalleled. She has such a quality and has only gotten better. 💛

I feel like I remember someone saying Carrie lacked emotions in her songs and I could never believe how they thought that. She shows emotions very well in songs in my opinion.

Give Her That is nice. I like that it's another ballad since that was lacking from the original album.

Give Her That is fine and all, but i definitely like OOTT and TMO more.
A little sad that come deluxe album release we’re only getting 2 actual new unheard songs. But i guess its better than none. And thats assuming she won’t release any more between now and sept 22nd
Sure wish i could go to that Nashville GnR show, if for any other reason as i would be THRILLED to see her do “Alone” live. i will never forget the night watching American Idol seeing her perform that song. I get a little emotional just thinking about it.
Sure wish she would add it to her setlist on a future tour.

The way she sings "Red Roses" on "Give Her That" gives me absolute chills. Kind of sad this won't be a single most likely, given how long chart runs are now. I'm expecting "Out of That Truck" through the spring then the Cody duet shortly after.

I'm expecting "Out of That Truck" through the spring then the Cody duet shortly after. I love how she executes this song, especially the verses. She’s such a powerful emoter and captures the various emotions the singer of this song might feel. As far as singles, with how long they take, I'm not mad about moving on to a the Cody duet once OOTT peaks (if they plan to release it). Realistically this timeline means we likely won't have a lead single from Carrie’s next album until spring/summer 2025?

I too absolutely love her phrasing on “Give Her That.” The way she says “…and that’s a fact.” just does something to my ears, lol.

But you can't give her that Old school Skynyrd tee that I still sleep in Your mama's necklace, 'cause she wanted me to keep it Every kiss, every minute that you spent on me Every memory You can't give her those Wild summer nights where I learned all your secrets Those "I love you's" that already fell off your lips That part of your heart that you gave me and you can't get back You can't give her that

Wow. I need to listen to this song. I still haven't heard the Truck song. Still stuck on the perfection that is the standard D&R album.

At this point, I would honestly recommend you hold off on listening to any of the new deluxe tracks as we’re likely to have only two unheard songs out of them all by September 22…but I promise that it will be WELL worth it however.
