The #1 BB200 ain't coming now that BTS just announced their 'comeback' for the same day, June 10th... Didn't they release an album the same day Cry Pretty came out too? Well shit. I was hoping she’d be the first female Country artist to score five #1 albums. |

SH debuted at #2 BB100 with excellent debut sales and stayed inside top 10 for weeks, and eventually outselling the album that blocked it from #1 when debuting. This time , It will happen to Denim & Rhinestones |

I don't mind if BTS blocks her as long as their fans don't go bat shit crazy like they normally do. I've heard of them sending threats to those who might block them and we don't need that here.

Hey at least in all the BTS album release articles, a lot of times, Carrie will get mentioned as also releasing that day too. More promotion for Carrie! It might be a sentence at the very end of the article but better than nothing! lol

The fact that this new album is showing signs of more toned down vocals is enough to keep me satisfied. Complete and total opposite for me. It actually all but evaporates my level of interest completely. She's been vocally toned down for years now imo. Not a fan of her lullaby-type vocal performances. |

All is not lost, it’s just very unlikely lol
Cry Pretty sold 260k-some first week in 2018 (this was with tour ticket bundling allowed with sales, which I think is no longer allowed for chart certified numbers)
BTS’ last American release sold 240k-some first week in 2020
If there’s a decent mix of decreased interest in BTS and a major bump in promo for Carrie, it could happen!

Lol it will not happen. BTS is one of the biggest things in the world. Carrie could hold up well in the physical sales department, but streaming takes up most of the calculations nowadays. Settle/pray for #2.

Read somewhere that BTS is signed to Universal, not the country imprint of course, but you would think that her label home would be smart enough to ask about any other artist within that label as a whole to ensure nobody that posed a threat would be releasing. I guess just more reason of me to be royally unimpressed on what they have (or haven't done) for Carrie since she signed. I mean Taylor's team had an ear out before it was announced to know when Adele planned on releasing and made sure that they didn't release at the same time.
Guess we can spam them to move up the release date, but I doubt that will happen.

Sounds impressive to me. (I have no clue who they are and had to Google when they started but gotta give credit where credit is due). |

Their popularity isn't as big in the U.S., but they are still popular here too, including several #1s on the Hot 100. I don't know why stans feel the need to unfairly denigrate other acts. |

I mean I guess, but unless my eyes are deceiving me, it looks like 9 out of their 11 singles after that have outright failed to make the hot 100 all together (unless they are singles not promoted in the US because frankly I don't follow their career so I don't know). Outright missing the hot 100 when you're not even a particularly old band doesn't scream relevant imo, especially when Carrie still hasn't missed the hot 100 with a single and she debuted much before they did. Just because an album debuts high on the hot 200 doesn't scream relevance either due to Demi Lovato's latest having a relatively high peak, yet I wouldn't consider her very relevant atm. It doesn't look like their album has even made it to gold yet either. Idk I just never hear from them, didn't mean to ruffle feathers if I did. |

I'm more annoyed with BTS dropping the same day as her and them being on the same label as her, cause it would've been cool to have 5 #1 all gene albums. |

Barring any future controversies in the Carrie world, she'll get another #1 on the all genre chart eventually. She's done pretty well for herself over the years and she doesn't show signs of stopping.
