The title track & the back half of this album (well, tracks 6-12) annihilate. I’m hooked on the 80s direction here.

“Poor Everybody Else” seriously might be one of the best uptempos in her whole catalog. Don’t know what vegetable she was planting that day, but whatever it was sent her to another level.

I love how “Hate My Heart” is the reverse of GS. She’s now the one who can’t move on.

I think “Pink Champagne” will be a single. Between the way she’s talked about it in interviews already + how damn infectious it is, I don’t see it not getting the proper release treatment.

If there’s one thing they won’t have any issue with on this record, it’s picking singles. It’s basically a compilation of 12 release-ready tracks. (Not that they’d have any issues with this record at all. It’s completely accessible and friendly to everyone.)

PEE - absolute crime if this is not a tour opener.
I mean... besides being a killer uptempo, with a line like "she walks in, poor everybody else"? Can you imagine the swagger on stage when she appears? QUEEN HAS ARRIVED.😎

Faster - Oh my goodness. Perfect 80s/90s love ballad. This would have fit so well on the radio back then! They nailed the production, vocal harmonies and instruments choices.

On quick first listen, my favourites are Faster, Velvet Heartbreak, Pink Champagne and Wanted Woman. (and still loving Crazy Angels, She Don't Know and D&R).
The only song that doesn't click for me yet is Garden. Burn is ok, but didn't live up to the snippets hype for me. (It was my fav from the snippets)

I think they absolutely nailed the 3 early release tracks this time. Also, even though I am not a big fan of Ghost Story, it is probably the one track that is most similar to old school Carrie.

On first listen, i’m impressed!!! The album is consistent and every song flows.

Yeah, CA is going to be a #1 smash, I can see it already. If they go with Burn, that would be too. There really are so many radio friendly songs this era

I still love the title track, but I think it's a riskier choice for Country radio. Carrie even said herself in a recent interview that she didn't feel comfortable releasing it first because it would throw people off, but that it's an important piece of the puzzle.

D&R gets enough attention as the title track and is the foundation of the album, so I don't really see the point in releasing it to Country radio. Especially when there are so many other viable options on the album.
