After listening to the album three times, I absolutely love Burn, I like Velvet Heartbreak, Faster, Ghost Story and Denim & Rhinestones, but I'm not feeling the rest as of now. I get that the vibe of the album is fun, carefree and sonically more upbeat, but I'm kinda sad there isn't a big power ballad on there. Was hoping for another Starts With Goodbye, Backsliding or a song like See You Again.
Plus, the album overall is not as instant melodywise for me, like Cry Pretty was, when I instantly fell in love with Backsliding, Drinking Alone, That Song, The Bullet, Spinning Bottles, Love Wins or End Up With You. Maybe I just have to listen more often and hopefully some songs will grow on me, but I'm happy most of you guys love the album!

This is a very consistent, fun and easy listen. It sounds like an album from an artist very much at ease with herself, legit not a stinker to be found.

It's not reaching Storyteller levels for me, simply because that album served DRAMA and that's what I love the most from Carrie. This album does feel a tad lightweight on the first few spins, so I'm not sure if it's going to stick with me or not. But that's something that will be revealed with time and repeated listens. Either way, a very enjoyable body of work.

Whatever she put into Faster she needs to do again, it's a CLASSIC 80's love ballad.

Eh. I throughly enjoy the album, but personally still like the production on Some Hearts through Storyteller better. This is a major step in the right direction for David’s part though.

I feel like "Ghost Story" works better in the album as opposed to on its own. I am still not a big fan of the ending of the song however I can see why it was chosen as the first single.

Carrie wanted us to forget our problems for a moment and have fun with the album and I'm glad she did. She didn't have as many vocal defining moments on this album as her other albums but I don't think they were needed. She still sounds fantastic and for the most part the songs are great.

This might be my favourite Carrie Underwood album. I already loved the title track (my favourite song of the year, in fact) and "Ghost Story," now loving "Velvet Heartbreak," "Burn," and "Faster." Carrie has quite blessed us with phenomenal music. I am a grateful bloke!

I really like the album. I know it won’t win any critical awards (when does she ever?) but it’s just a really easy listen. I love Pink Champagne. And really enjoy hearing some throwback elements here. I hope she continues on this track.

I'd say this is probably her most palatable album since... "Some Hearts"? Production wise I'm hearing some Maren and Kacey ("Wanted Woman" specifically here). I think it's much more pop forward than any of her last few releases save for a few tracks. Totally digging it.

I know many people said Cry Pretty was the most Carrie ever and while I agree I feel like Denim is even more.

This album is through and through who she is. I feel like Garden is a biography of who she is and shows what her heart is made of.

Cheers to Carrie for giving a big middle finger to the awards shows, I think she knows they never gave it to her anyway so she made exactly what she wanted to make.

Every album of hers since Storyteller that I have preordered on Amazon has been delivered the next week. I don’t understand why they can’t get an album out for release day delivery.

Sold out completely at my Target as well. I didn’t have this problem with MS and my Target has NEVER given me this problem with new releases, save for Fearless (Taylor’s Version). She’s gonna have a MASSIVE debut. We’re looking at the tenth consecutive #1 debut.

I have a weird stance on this album. It's really not for me in terms of what I love from Carrie, which is big vocals especially on Power ballads. That said, I understand we have a lot of that from her in the entirety of her catalog, so even though it's not for me, I'm still so PROUD of her. This album is undeniably her, it's the most cohesive album she's ever done and she really does sound better than ever.

Target is trash when it comes to stocking their CDs, ESPECIALLY (and ironically) their "Exclusives." You would think when I lived in NYC that wouldn't have been an issue, but I had the worst luck. I think Carrie's sales should be fine though.

There is a CD production backlog but it's nothing compared to vinyl and I've seen far less prominent releases fully stocked during release week so I wonder what caused the hiccup with Carrie's shipment. At least Amazon is fully stocked here!

I think my early favorites (after GS of course) are D&R, Pink Champagne, Crazy Angels, She Don't Know, and Faster. I can definitely imagine Crazy Angels becoming a single.

Hate My Heart would have fit in perfectly on Storyteller.
