Since her Spotify numbers got brought up, here are her current (worldwide) Spotify totals for all singles and notable buzz tracks: Inside Your Heaven 3,461,071 Jesus, Take the Wheel 70,611,862 Some Hearts 6,501,471 Don't Forget to Remember Me 16,763,879 Before He Cheats 306,641,000 Wasted 21,739,998 So Small 18,525,446 All-American Girl 56,225,154 Last Name 33,622,951 Just a Dream 32,898,430 I Told You So 23,519,751 Cowboy Casanova 58,403,953 Temporary Home 28,389,091 Undo It 38,252,171 Mama's Song 23,133,309 Remind Me 58,123,051 Good Girl 70,320,815 Blown Away 109,198,269 Two Black Cadillacs 50,792,578 See You Again 37,679,755 Somethin' Bad 101,187,945 Something in the Water 65,278,828 Little Toy Guns 38,625,425 Smoke Break 37,518,094 Heartbeat 63,078,633 Church Bells 115,884,559 Dirty Laundry 50,688,924 Cry Pretty 48,328,823 Love Wins 34,066,489 Southbound 54,901,166 Drinking Alone 30,619,166 Hallelujah 8,425,295 If I Didn't Love You 58,550,385 Ghost Story 300,529 Can't Stop Lovin' You 5,679,341 Forever Country 39,227,091 The Fighter 143,079,977 Tears of Gold 5,151,876 I Wanna Remember 8,163,197 I'll Stand by You UNAVAILABLE Praying for Time UNAVAILABLE Just Stand Up! 6,433,021 Home Sweet Home UNAVAILABLE Change 4,100,480 There's a Place for Us UNAVAILABLE Keep Us Safe UNAVAILABLE Renegade Runaway 13,539,252 What I Never Knew I Always Wanted 10,428,855 The Champion 87,542,774 End Up with You 20,438,259 Let There Be Peace 4,008,419 Softly and Tenderly 1,698,913 Great Is Thy Faithfulness 2,646,587 Nothing But the Blood of Jesus 2,352,187 Only Us 2,171,987 Stretchy Pants 4,388,548 And her daily US Spotify peaks according to Kworb: If I Didn't Love You #24 Somethin' Bad #45 Something in the Water #90 Some Break #138 Heartbeat #142 The Champion #162 Cry Pretty #169 The Fighter #174 Church Bells #178 Little Toy Guns #186 So, yeah, she's never been particularly strong on Spotify. There are a few outlier tracks, and many of her singles have slowly grown to respectable numbers, but she's never been very big there. A little disappointing "Ghost Story" didn't make an appearance in the top 200, but it certainly isn't an indicator of anything looking at her previous stats.

She’ll make more coin than any of her counterparts do by continuing to move pure albums and hard tickets. She ain’t sweatin’ it, and I’m sure the songwriters aren’t, either, considering they’re actually likely *making* money with her cuts.

She knows her strength is pure sales (and concert), thats why’s she released DVD of My Savior Live when no one (except middle aged evangelist women) owns DVD player anymore. Unvaccinated self aware queen

GS is number 1 on iTunes. That says more to me than streaming. Her fans are more into buying her songs than just streaming and it’s been that way for years now. Selling records and selling out her concerts, great combination. It does show where her fans are, but the "problem" (which is only a problem if you care about chart success) is sales are so low now that being #1 on iTunes doesn't mean much. There have been recent songs that were #1 in sales for the week that didn't even chart on the Hot 100. But Carrie isn't chasing Hot 100 hits anyway.

Alright ladies I've deemed I want this to be a #1 radio hit. I don't care if we have to resort to payola, lets make it happen.

Maren is because of her collaboration with Zedd`s The Middle over 1.1B streams. Kacey is because of her Grammy big win.

Why H100 singles chart placement doesn't really matter - Carrie's two highest charting H100 singles are: IYH: #1 Idol single, which few really remember / limited radio play ISBY: #6 deleted from iTunes shortly after released 15(!) years ago / Never released to streaming services / Only low quality versions on unofficial YouTube channels
ISBY is a shame because I've always gathered it was not only a fan favorite, but also received very positive reviews.

And then I think ITYS would be third at #9, and that was largely due to the performance (with Randy Travis) on Idol. It definitely wasn’t as big of a hit as any of the other singles from Carnival Ride. It just seems like it really comes down to a big moment, or as others have mentioned, something like a TikTok phenomenon. So even though GS is starting out a little slow, all it takes is one random moment and then boom it’s in the top 10 on the Hot 100 lol Maybe she can perform it with a ghost on the CMT Awards or something! That would definitely gather some attention 😂😂😂

In terms of all-time charts and other methods Billboard would use to tabulate Carrie's biggest Hot 100 songs, "BHC" would be #1 because of its long chart run.

Just watched her interview on the Bobby Bones show and was very interested when she said her new record will be somewhat nostalgic. I can't wait to see what she means by that. She also wore yet another denim jacket, I think it almost confirms that the album title will be "Denim & Rhinestones."

Reminds me of Blown Away, Something in the Water.
So far not really feeling it. Kind of so so. I don't see this being a radio hit.

I’m thinking it either means that the album will be going back to more of the same feel that Some Hearts or Carnival Ride might have had, or she’s throwing it back to a more 70s/80s/90s country feel. Either way, I’m intrigued by what this will mean for CU7.

This is definitely a grower, whereas I loved "Cry Pretty" right away. For some reason I'm getting a beach vibe from this, not sure why. I'm thinking of fog coming in on the water, sort of a mysterious "ghost ship" kind of ethereal vibe. These lyrics lowkey make me think she wrote them about the CMAs, they wish they could find as good a host as she (and Brad Paisley) were for years and years.

I wonder when the music video is coming. And also, I want the album sooner rather than later (the distance between "Cry Pretty" the song and the album was too long).

She’s filming the music video this week, so it’ll probably be a month or two before its release.

This hasn’t quite sold me as a lead single but I keep going back to listen to it. It’s a super easy listen and breezy, unlike Cry Pretty. I feel like it would make a great album cut but who knows it seems like a grower and it’s still #1 on iTunes. I think the video can really sell it if they get the image right. I hope she goes for a Denim & Rhinestone look.

I preferred Cry Pretty. Lyrically, vocally, and production-wise. It was a bit overcooked after the bridge, but in the best way possible, and the dramatic flourishes were perfectly fitted to the imagery evoked by the lyrics.
I'm hoping this isn't going to be an album full of low-key, mellow production and vocals.

She had 4 years and this is what we get?? This song feels like a throw away album cut not a lead single. In fact, this is the inferior "Ghosts" -- Ghosts on the Stereo is far superior.
I do like some of the vocal treatment but those lower notes will end up swallowed in live performances.
Even still, I'm excited for the album and hope she has something more substantive waiting for us.

The first single is not necessarily the best. Brown Way is better than Good Girl. Church Bell is better than Smoke Break. We should look forward to Denim and Rhinestones.

If I didn't know already that she doesn't interview well a lot of the time, I'd think she was a total snob! Something is off.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I watched the Bobby Bones interview on YouTube and it didn’t seem that bad. I can see how on radio it would sound awkward though…
The girl is just awkward. She’s an introvert with an alter-ego fit for stage. She tries, lol, but she’ll always be socially awkward here and there. Bobby Bones doesn’t exactly have a becoming personality though, if we’re being honest, so that doesn’t help. His first question about ghosts of deceased exes haunting their living exes was just weird and set a super uncomfortable tone. When Carrie is being interviewed by someone who is generally good at the job, the interviews tend to be far less… “awkward”.

I thought her interview with Bobby Bones was…quirky? I guess I could see how if you were only hearing it on the radio versus watching the video of it Carrie could come across as a little off, but I think Carrie is typically just a soft spoken person and has dry wit. No part of me thinks she seemed to be rude, nor do I think Bobby reflected that.

I wouldn’t want to talk to Bobby Bones either. She shouldn’t have then. She doesn’t need to do an interview with him by any means. Often times, artists do have some sort of contractual obligation to do certain interviews. Don’t know if BB filters into that, but it’s very normal that people have to go on certain TV & radio shows to interview, regardless of their personal wishes. (Again, I don’t think BB is in that boat here. But just saying…the possibility is there.)
