Idk I guess I'm expecting one based on how little she was visible post D&R tour when it ended in February 2023. I would hope that she has been productive and at least attempting to work on an album over the past nearly two years.
Really hoping we see an album fall of 2025. With the lead launched around spring of 2025.

Why is everyone hoping for a New Album next year? She probably Did the Deluxe to get more time until she releases. 2026 or even 2027 will be the year. Having one to promote with idol with be wise business

Very often artists launch albums in conjunction with gigs like this. It would seem silly to go after this much exposure from virtually nothing tv-wise in years if not to promote something.

Why is everyone hoping for a New Album next year? Because it would be boring not to. I think “expecting an album” is the better choice of words here. As a huge Carrie fan, I hope for a new album every year lol

Ugh her look last night was giving "Blown Away" with a slight hint of "Storyteller." Goodness gracious girl please come back swinging with this being the aesthetic of the next album.

Completely agree. I think that's another reason why I couldn't get into D&R. The aesthetic for D&R and Cry Pretty are so similar.

So is Carriefans just temporarily down or permanently gone? It’s been unavailable for a couple weeks now. Would hate to see it go, as I felt like I’ve been able to have some good discussions about Carrie and her career with others there.
I know some of the mods there have accounts here. Would love some input.

Not sure if anything happened or what to do in that scenario since we can’t get in touch with him

Be sure to do the rate music survey for Leave a light on (talk away the dark)
You can switch the radio preference from country to hot ac to access the survey
It’s not in the top 10 on the survey but tbh today was my first day even doing a hot ac rate the music survey.
Btw I’m new to this site this appears to be the current Carrie fan thread though

^^ I’d absolutely die. Chappell is one of my absolute favs from my generation. Her voice is incredible, and a collab with CU would be explosive imo.

Please lord let team CU be smart enough to capitalize on this somehow and get a collab worked out. Am I the only Carrie fan who doesn’t want this? Sorry but I do not get good vibes from her. Just from what little I’ve seen, her vibe wouldn’t seem to mesh with Carrie’s. It’s just an opinion so take it for what it is. She doesn’t need to collaborate with Chappell regardless of how talented she is,I do not get good vibes from her, just seems to be all negative. I don’t get why so many Carrie fans want her to collaborate with a pop singer, they would eat her alive if that ever happened, she’s too sweet and kind for that world. I would rather have the CoJo duet than this. Chappell just gives me the ick,I’m sure she’s talented but her vibe turns me off. One Carrie song covered by a pop artist doesn’t means she has to collaborate with her,Carrie is picky about her duet partners for a reason,I just don’t see them vibing whatsoever.

The pop world would eat Carrie alive, she’s too kind and sweet for that cutthroat world. Chappell is talented but from what little I have read about her,her vibe just gives me the ick. She’s talented but Carrie doesn’t have to collaborate with a pop singer to be explosive, there are other ways for her to get exposure. Pop fans would mock Carrie’s beliefs and values, trust me. I would rather have the CoJo duet than this,THAT one I’m excited about. This, not so much. Call me crazy but this does not give me a good feeling,it makes me ill,the pop fans will eat her alive if they get ahold of her beliefs and values, they are completely opposite of what Chappell stands for.

Tonight’s top story: Why Are Country Fans Always So Afraid of Other Genres? More at 11.

Tonight’s top story: Why Are Country Fans Always So Afraid of Other Genres? More at 11. I am hardly afraid of other genres, trust me. Just not the biggest fan of what’s considered “pop” music these days. I just don’t see Carrie or Chappell meshing, their viewpoints certainly aren’t the same. Most pop music repulses me these days,I haven’t listened to pop radio in YEARS.

The look is giving western-country and I know there are horses in the video. I would love for this to be the segway into a countrier era. I love CoJo's sound and I just know Carrie would really crush it. Haven't been this excited for new Carrie music since the lead up to Ghost Story.

It’s cool knowing she’ll have another #1 single leading into her next era.
Before CP we had “The Fighter”, before D&R we had “If I Didn’t Love You”, and now before CU8 we have another collab.
Not saying this guarantees an album is coming, but our girl is a scheduled Queen so I can’t help but take this as a sign that the CoJo collaboration and the Idol gig are all part of the buildup to CU8!

No guarantee this will go to #1. Cody is solid on radio, but he's no Luke Combs or Wallen. His last song sounded like a for sure #1 and it peaked at #5. I think there is a great shot with this (especially with how much country radio loves duets)* but I wouldn't be acting like it's a fact already. * country radio loves duet bc they can meet their "quota" of playing a song by a women but still have a man on it.

I was half joking…
Though I do think the star power combined should be enough for #1.
Either way, she has a major hit coming up - hopefully an organic one, but either way this thing will shoot up to the top levels of airplay in no time.
Wonder if this means she’ll be performing on the CMAs?

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Carrie has a CMAs return this year. Especially now that she has Idol, the cross promotion would be cool.

Just the snippet I heard, sounds like a smash. I can’t wait to see what Carrie sounds like on the track.
As far as the CMAs go, I don’t see why Cody and Carrie wouldn’t perform this considering it’s the lead single off of his next project. I hope she gets to make a grand return to the CMA stage!

I have a good feeling about this song. The lyrics are incredibly beautiful, the instrumentation is soft and tender, and the released photos from the photoshoot/music video are gorgeous! Carrie and Cody have quite the gem on their hands.
