New Carrie Underwood song "Ghost Story" and debut single of TAYA (from Hillsong United)'s "For All My Life" too. Though the latter won't make an impact.

Absolved himself for ever putting out emo gurl. The visualizer complementing Travis' drumming is a treat

#31 ww with 1.733m streams Another hit for MGK? Dunno. So far the playlisting is non existent that's a scare + it's metalcore/punk rock-ish song. But my exs best friend debuted @ #81 two weeks prior album debut & only then playlisting & radio picked it up. Hopefully it'll happen here too since his album is coming out nxt week😬

I've come to appreciate these dry stretches for the charts. It will make future big releases even more satisfying.

Can 👑 Rihanna just give us an album before giving birth (just like Katy Perry) and move on with her life?!?

Let’s be real, would you guys really take anything to change up the top 10 for at least one week like a Drake Scorpion/CLB type album bomb or a Sour/Off Season/Legends Never Die one or what if we start hyping up Easter songs or something.

Yes, at this point, I’d even welcome a mass-bought BTS/Megan Thee Stallion collab or a Justin Bieber album drop to shake up this chart.

This is seriously the worst year for the charts I've seen since I started chart watching in 2014, the Hot 100 is so stale, pop radio is stale, nobody is releasing anything, and the actual new releases like Charli XCX are being ignored. It's only March so maybe the charts will speed up once someone huge drops something, but goddamn is it boring to be a chart watcher this year.
But that's what people want, just take a look at the callout scores on pop radio, newer stuff like Sacrifice and Light Switch are at the bottom and 6+ month old songs like Need To Know and Heat Waves are at the top. Same with Spotify, Heat Waves is sitting right at the top.

A year like this in music makes me realize why hipsters hate normies so much.

When some talk about pop music all being the same before it felt over exaggerated but seeing how dry everything is now there’s not even a defense for it anymore. After a stellar 2020 and 2021 for pop music, you would think 2022 would step it up even more especially as places are opening up again and life is slowly changing to the new environment we have to live in. Now would be a perfect time for all these artists to drop but ironically that isn’t the case. But that’s not all to blame. There is still new music released every week yet the general public just ignores it and tends to hold onto the older music that they are familiar with. I would honestly give it until May or June as maybe the future summer jams would come in and save the top 10 from getting completely uninteresting. This is seriously the worst year for the charts I've seen since I started chart watching in 2014, the Hot 100 is so stale, pop radio is stale, nobody is releasing anything, and the actual new releases like Charli XCX are being ignored. Same with Spotify, Heat Waves is sitting right at the top. Basically this too.

Radio is like a real life Stockholm Syndrome scenario right now--people only are liking what they're really familiar with. So if that promo doesn't come to play a song for months until people know it enough to like it they don't give it that high callout score.
