Cool for the Summer maybe? Yeah I asked in another server and they also said CFTS. I guess it's coded enough to be a song about same sex love between women Demi doesn't identify as a woman, though.

Ugh, the conversation is way too complex and complicated for Pulse, let alone in the chart discussion so without arguing and from people I've asked in the trans community, non binary people can refer to their relationships as gay/lesbian

WDTAB got a performance on the Oscars, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it got a bump up to #3. After all, the margin between #2 and #4 is very slim, I wouldn’t be surprised if WDTAB and/or SG actually beat out Stay for #2. Edit: I found a second prediction, but this one has Big Energy much higher and WDTAB much lower (it looks like the remix boost for BE and the Oscars boost for WDTAB are going to be the hardest things to predict this week):

with We Don't Talk About Bruno potentially leaving the top 10, that's the only number one that got popular in 2022 gone from the top 10 (and WDTAB debuted in the very last weeks of 2021 lol

Girl Crush is really just about jealousy that her ex is with another woman) I think Little Big Town left the lyrics intentionally vague enough that yeah you could read it as that and a lot of the straight country audience would read it as such, but if there's even a doubt that either of the Little Big Town women are queer it reads super, super gay It's like Nights With You by Mø, likely it was not intentionally gay, but any queer person hearing it can easily take it on to be a gay song and that's pretty beautiful and should be respected, especially given how few songs are popular where you don't need to change pronouns / genders to make them queer I Kissed A Girl is super straight though lol, there's no ambiguity there

I don’t think Tegan and Sara used pronouns in Closer when they hit the top 40 - though their song Boyfriend from the album after that was probably more direct, though it didn’t chart.

How is ghost 11th on Spotify and woman 9th but ghost #22 on streaming and woman 40th? Isit doing bad on AM, it sounds like a song that would smash on there.
On a side note - harry styles will 100% debut at #1. I predict 2m+ us Spotify and 20-25m first day views on global YouTube
Also - bieber in the last 3 years has, yummy, I don’t care, stay, peaches, stuck with u, (maybe anyone), 10,000 hours and holy that would have all debut at #1 in today’s climate, so enough with the narrative that he doesn’t have what it takes to debut at #1 in today’s market with a lead single. Even if those song debut with lower numbers, the general competition is much lower that most would have been #1 lock ins.

You mentioned Apple Music, but YouTube and other platforms are part of streaming as well. "Woman" is getting fewer YT views a day than several Mariah Carey videos from the 1990s.

I mostly agree with your point about Bieber, and this is part of what I was trying to say earlier, however, we can't necessarily assume that all those songs would debut with the same numbers if they were released now, so #1 locks would definitely not be gauranteed, but you're right that all of them debuted very high and most had very good longevity (Yummy and Stuck With U notwithstanding), but even for him, fatigue is bound to set in at some point and he will be at risk of overexposure. I also agree Harry has one of the strongest chances out of all the artists today, but c'mon, you can never say 100%.

It's here, I don't know if I hear a hit from it though. Pretty good song otherwise.

As It Was is pretty good! It's definitely more lowkey than I was expecting but it's also already firmly stuck in my head which helps. It strikes me a little more as a Lights Up type of lead single rather than a Sign Of The Times type but it's also getting SO much attention already that I still pretty easily see it being a hit

I like the Harry song, but I don't think it's the surefire hit bound to shake up the charts that we were hoping for. Hope I'm wrong, he definitely has the hype on his side.

Will come down to how hard the label and the die hard fans go for it to debut high.
But I can't see it going viral or anything much on it's own.
It's good. Just not that instant.

Harry Styles could debut at lower region this week? It's not Friday yet in the US.

He's certainly above Ed Sheeran's current hype and a similar release hour did not yield an early debut for Shivers or BH. Tl;dr we'll see but don't bet on it.

It'd be kind of hilarious if this song that everyone's banking on having a big debut and shaking up the hot 100 actually debuted really low just because it was so big on Thursday lmao
I expect it to make the bubbling under for this week personally and then debut for real on the 4/16 chart
