watch as DJ Khaled got exactly one line shouting out his name and maybe two ad-libs doing the same

I hope that this remix is built as a genuine Big Energy/Fantasy mashup and not just Mariah Carey tacking on a random new verse for the sake of getting another #1. Welp, this comment has aged like milk fast. Seriously, I could go my whole life without hearing "DEEEE JAYYY KHALEDDD" at the outset of a song ever again.

Sorry for double posting, but 20x #1 coming... I don't see the remix getting enough streams/sales to overtake the original and get Mariah a chart credit.

All the marketing for this remix makes it look like they don't want people to realize DJ Khaled is on the song to begin with lmao. What is he even gonna add here

What is he even gonna add here I've already presented scenario one above, but there's still scenario two: Which is DJ Khaled having a cringy ass skit at the beginning, something like fake calling Mariah and Latto to get them on board for the remix and literally nothing else for the rest of the song

I can name at least 25 people that debuted after Rihanna that were a huge deal and most of them still are. For example Billie Eilish only has a #1 but she's a huge deal. Lil Nas X, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, BTS, Megan Thee Stallion, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd... Arianna is not even close besides the rest that you've mentioned w/c are just a rookie for me. Taylor Swift and Drake would be considered after Rihanna. Adele might be for Honorable mention. None of these people are more famous than Justin Bieber apart from Rihanna who is probably on his level fame wise. Drake isn't' even close, Taylor might be up there. Adele is cute. trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=taylor%20swift,justin%20bieber,Rihanna This is a good representation as to the actual fame of those three when they were at their peak, and now they've all levelled out to a similar place. But people don't forgot who you are at after you hit your peak and a superstar is essentially who has the biggest name

Drake surpasses JB several year ago.

A new non-Xmas top 10 Hot 100 hit for Mariah is always welcomed.
Can't believe her last one was that infamous Eminem shade.

Charts aren’t everything - Britney Spears had a comparably shitty chart record in the early 2000s on the Hot 100 and Justin Bieber wasn’t racking up number ones in 2009-2011 but they were hands down the biggest cultural forces as pop stars this millenium

Furthermore, this is talking about fame, not how many streams someone gets on Spotify. Fame wise, drake doesn't come close to Bieber in that department.

Lil Nas X, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, BTS, Megan Thee Stallion, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd... While true, there just seems to be something lacking. I think part of the problem, is we are so close to today's stars, connected via social media, knowing everyone's move. Back in the day that bit of unknown, etc. just made it seem like stars were bigger than. That is not it. The overwhelming majority of people are not obsessed with famous people and their internet activities. They are focused on their own reality. The internet has really warped y'alls perspectives

The UK Official charts has also seen some stagnant movement in its top 10 although probably not as much as Billboard’s. I guess music consumption is slow in other places as well.

Personally, I’ve been enjoying watching the UK charts evolve this year more than any other major chart among the Anglosphere nations, but I think that’s just because of how the ACR rule and the UK music industry in general (i.e. more niche songs that don’t cross over internationally) operate.

All this talk of superstars with no mention of Lady Gaga. Now I know Pulse is out of touch 🔢

US Apple Music chart 152 NEW Zach Bryan - Highway Boy
Pretty consistent performance compared to From Austin when other new releases are ignored. Another Bubbling Under hit?
