Katy & Doja female empowerment anthem collab when? As long as Doja is only allowed to release songs produced by Dr. Luke as singles, I don’t see how Katy’s team would green light a collaboration…especially given how she was unwillingly dragged into the court case in the past. |

As long as Doja is only allowed to release songs produced by Dr. Luke as singles, I don’t see how Katy’s team would green light a collaboration…especially given how she was unwillingly dragged into the court case in the past. no Dr. Luke needed if it's from Katy Perry's project. think "motive" with Ariana or "I Like You" with Post Malone.  not to mention "Woman", "Get Into It (Yuh)" and "Vegas" are not Dr. Luke tracks, so I don't think she has a strict requirement like that beyond her label "favoring"/"requiring" Dr. Luke tracks as singles pre-album release. let a girl dream! |

Yeah but there were also “Best Friend” and “Freaky Deaky”…Both produced by Luke. So he’s definitely involved even in her features. As for the Planet Her singles…they literally released all 3 songs produced by him from the standard album as the first three singles. Same thing happened to Hot Pink (Juicy, Say So, Like That) but for that project Luke did more songs. So I take that as something contractual for Doja. I don’t think it makes sense for Katy to collaborate with Doja if the song can’t be released as a lead or at least second single. (It’s true that it could be for Katy’s album like Post Malone - so lettuce pray!) |

I will never understand why HIH wasn’t pushed after NRO, especially when we know they already had a music video filmed. At the least, she could've easily gotten another NRO sized hit. But us KatyCats are used to poor single choices every era going back to Prism.

I know y'all are streaming hoes, so probably a moot point, but has anyone noticed that Katy sneakily changed Tucked?? The guitar lick that opens the song and continues throughout the song iis now gone! It popped up on my phone as I was walking my dog and I realized I wanna add it to a playlist I'm making for a party next weekend, but when I went to my computer to play it, I noticed the difference. What's strange though is my computer should be playing the original version because I am not streaming it but playing it from a file I directly uploaded from the CD, so I don't know what's going on. It sounds so empty now. Edit: It's an Atmos thing, LOL. So dumb. Is Dolby Atmos new to Spotify? I was listening to the album today and it felt way more polished and ‘alive’ than I remembered, especially the guitars. Although, that may have just been me expecting it to be and hearing things that were always there |

Crazy to see a song that was never intended to be a single end up as the best selling female song of all time. Dark Horse was a monster in 2013-2014 and it’s still a monster today. I noticed that Dark Horse got a decent boost around Halloween last year, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it continues to see boosts in October for the coming years.

bigger than Rolling in the Deep and Poker Face? Yes. Dark Horse benefits from being a major hit in that sweet spot where digital sales were still strong and streaming was rapidly growing and earning its first classics. So it's gone on to being a massive digital seller and a common staple in many streaming playlists. |
