Yeah Jack already has a #1 from his album so it’s not bad at all if nothing from him hits the top spot and something from Bad Bunny does anyways, which will most likely be Moscow Mule. First Class does have radio and is not too far behind on streaming so it’s really going to be a close competition for #1 between Jack and Bunny.

If im being honest Jack's album is disappointing. He sounds like yet another Drake Regen only this time somehow even blander than Current Drake. The lyrics are hardly inspiring and the beats are rarely intresting. What's worse is that the music doesn't make me feel much at all. ( Dua Lipa was oddly disturbing to me )

Thank god for Bad Bunny, his album is like the complete opposite to Jack's and was really refreshing, thankfully the Spotify numbers reflect this. Personally I'll be rooting for Moscow Mule instead of First Class and I think it should be obvious that BB will slaughter JH on the albums chart

Overall I'm pleasantly surprised by BB and disappointed by JH.

I feel the same. Jack’s album was so underwhelming and will eventually grow extremely stale overtime. The track with JT was no doubt the worst one for me by far and i wonder what was the thought process including him on that type of song in the first place. The track before that (Like a Blade Of Glass) sounded like a Timbaland style beat so if JT *really* had to be on the album, that song was the much better opportunity to use him on.

Every song on here feels rather incomplete and some do end abruptly, its hard to ever come back to them. The exception of this being Nail Tech, First Class and Churchill Downs (you know, the songs that the most people would pay attention to, they know what they were doing). Honestly, those are the only great songs on this album and it’s a shame because i was really rooting for Jack and was in the minority who actually thought First Class is a good song. This album isn’t bad at all, but it’s also not good and i don’t see myself coming back to it at all.


Thankfully the weekly streak for good music continues as Bad Bunny is here to save the day. His album was a breath of fresh air. The production overall was really polished and the switch ups on some of the tracks really surprised me and kept me engaged. Moscow Mule is easily one of the best songs i’ve heard this year and i hope it becomes one of the biggest songs of the summer at least. Overall I’m glad he dropped because this is one of the best albums of the year so far. Pusha T and even Future surprisingly held up well, but next week is Kendrick and this is where i feel this streak will hit its peak, so can’t wait!

I’ll stand up for it. It had some misses in there but there were a good bit of high points, and Harlow sells it pretty well. Wasn’t the type of project that should’ve made him challenge for the throne but it also shouldn’t have been the momentum killer it’s looking like rn.

Bad Bunny killing it ! I knew that he was really popular on US because how big was Dakiti and Yonaguni debut inside top 10. But WOW, JUST WOW. His numbers are huge, 12 songs inside top 20 US Spotify, with 6 songs being top 10. Now there's no more doubts how relevant and popular he's there, dont underestimate him !

His new album is amazing, you can hear a lot of genres mixed on it !! merengue, reggae, pop, bachata, dembow ,bossa nova, afrobeat, rap, trap, pure reggaeton (new and old school), EDM, even indie pop vibes in"Otro atardecer", and craaazy album, just GO and Listen it and feel that summer vibes even if you don't understand the language !!

Moscow Mule is a perfect single choice, a really cool estructure with a lot of things happening but accesible and addictive, impossible to not PERREAR with it !!

By the Way, LATINO GANG is dominant !! Karol G is killing it as well with PROVENZA and Mamii

I love it. Songs like this where rappers just go off on the beat with no chorus are like longform rap songs to me. The goal with this wasn't to make anything catchy or chart-ready, just a simple beat for two rappers to get their bars off. Drake has several songs like this and I always like it when he raps for long periods of time. It's by far the best song on the album, lyrically.

It's understandable if it isn't for you, though. It's similar to Lemon Pepper Freestyle but that had more of a bounce to it's production than this one does.

I think Jack had a vision for this album and that's what ultimately lost him, since the vision was following an aesthetic that is way too stale to work for an entire album.

It is commendable that every song on the album fits into this very specific mould (which I'll call parent trap) and it's not even like they all sound the same... But it does make them feel the same. Artists with highly stylised visions for their albums (The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish) do make a specific aesthetic for each project, but that aesthetic is broad enough to encompass different vibes. For example, on Dawn FM or Kids Land, which are The Weeknd's most cohesive works in my opinion, while the songs share an aesthetic, underlined by common elements in the production or themes repeated in the lyrics, each song has a distinctive vibe. In Jack's album, the vibe of most song is very similar. Some songs have very similar production (basically the bangers and the laid-back-Drake songs are the two types of songs on it) which makes it an even more confusing listening experience.

That makes it a mid album. It isn't bad, because none of the songs are terrible and there genuinely are multiple great options for singles, but it doesn't work as an album.

It seems as though the focus was making five or six good singles, and then combine them with samey filler, which
maybe isn't bad, but definitely is very bland.

All in all, I'd give it a 6/10.

The standouts for me are the single choices: Nail Tech, First Class, Dua Lipa, Side Piece and I'd Do Anything To Make You Smile and Lil Secret. I also really like Churchill Downs, which is more of a Drake's diary type of song, but I generally like those
