Olivia Newton-John's "Hopelessly Devoted To You" was recently certified platinum. This was previously certified gold when gold signified sales of 1 million units. By today's standards, this and so many songs that were certified gold when that was the criterion should already be considered platinum! So, how can a song that was certified for moving 1 million units in 1978 be certified again now for doing something it already accomplished and was recognized for 45 years ago?

If the RIAA can make $350 charging for a Platinum cert., they will!

They should do the other Olivia Newton John singles.
