Crazy that nothing from The Weeknd’s last album ever stuck yet here we are with “Die For You” from 2016 outperforming everything. There’s no reason why his team shouldn’t push it to Radio. With “Running Up That Hill” and “Unstoppable” making large gain, there’s no reason why “Die For You” shouldn’t become a radio smash either.

Tbh while I see UGC could have an impact, I don't think it would cause a drastic up in points for songs. Consumption is still down across the board.

It spent almost a year on the BU chart in 2018, it would be pretty cathartic to see it chart now (though it would have to break top 50 to make it I thnk)

All I know is that if UGC still counted, neither Easy On Me nor As It Was would not have spent 10 weeks at #1. WDTAB may have even spent more weeks at #1 than EOM. As It Was would have not spent more than 5 weeks at #1, and the last several weeks would have been great battles between ADT and RUTH (with the obvious interruption by Jimmy Cooks). Also, G4u and Butter would have rotated back and forth at #1, as UGC would have minimized the effect of mass buying.

Gonna be honest, I'd rather them just retire the era than do that. First of all the streams aren't that strong, only 480k streams, which is pretty small and it's only in the Top 50 because the rest of the chart is so weak right now aside from a handful of tracks. Second of all, going back years to a more successful album to find a hit is pretty sad and I don't really want The Weeknd to do that, it's not the albums fault dude flunked the whole promotional cycle for it. "Dawn FM" could still realistically get a big hit with an actual push, like a good music video a la "Save Your Tears" and or a remix with a big artist... a la "Save Your Tears" lol. They could also target TikTok and revive the album like how the app revived "About Damn Time" and his very own "Die For You."

Abel added "Die For You" to his tour setlist over "Earned It," so in the end those who love the song won, no need to go much further than that.
