Fantastic for Nicki! If she drops the video on Monday that will give her an additional streaming boost and make up for the lost sales. I think she can get a second week at #1 even. Not only can she get a second week at #1 if the video drops this week, but I also see a 3rd week at #1 after her VMA vanguard performance next Sunday along with radio being predicted to hit 20M by that time. I hope so but to be honest the VMAβs are not as relevant as they used to be. I doubt sheβll get much of a boost from that. Itβs still good promo though and I can certainly see the performance of the song give it a boost if itβs uploaded on YouTube and she slays it.

If she slays the performance and it goes viral it will make an impact. Ratings are gonna be terrible but performances can still make a difference on social media. However it's a medley so we'll see how much of it is dedicated to SFG.

Great Spotify debut for Blackpink, even if it lags below the Spotify debut for Ice Cream. Also, can someone tell me who is managing Un Verano Sin Tiβs radio singles? Bruh, how tf did mpb lose, and by THAT MUCH?? Bruh. Bad Bunny needs the new team. Just throw the whole team away and make a new one. They f**ked over Dakiti, and now instead of learning, they're f**king over these songs even more. It's f**king crazy that he's had this much success, even though his team is this s**tty. It just dropped out of the top 50 on a format...

In regards to Bad Bunny's radio promotion, to be fair it has to be really tricky these days with choosing what songs to promote to radio in the streaming age for every artist, as it has to be a balance of trying to predict beforehand what songs will do well and sending to radio before the fact, and then gauging through streaming what songs the fans are choosing and then basing radio single choices off of that. With Un Verano Sin Ti, it looks like they chose Moscow Mule as the lead single to promote first, but then plans probably changed a bit after MPB and TMP were outstreaming it. But all three have gotten nearly comparable airplay on Latin formats so far, and in terms of promoting to Pop for wider exposure, that is always going to be an uphill battle, if it would be worth doing at all, so I think they've probably handled it pretty well so far and am sure it's performed well beyond their wildest expectations, so to expect it to be even more gargantuan by asking for like three straight CHR #1's or something would be completely unrealistic.

Look, my primary emotion when I made that post was confusion and bewilderment as to why Me Porto Bonitoβs radio push seems to be getting shelved as quickly as it was getting started. I donβt expect any potential Bad Bunny radio single to go #1 on any format besides the obvious ones. And itβs not like fumbling radio pushes will make a dent into the still very robust streaming numbers.

Let me make this clear. I'm not saying that Bad Bunny needs radio to be big, I'm just saying that if he gets it, he can have way more success. Like mpb could be a number one contender if radio actually did something with it.

Considering Bad Bunny's been the most streamed artist in the world for about 3 years straight, and with UVST being the biggest album of 2022 - and on track to being one of if not the biggest album of 2020s, I don't think San Benito or his team are staying up and freaking out about stalling radio.

It only just fell out of the top 50 on a format, the "loss" is completely artificial how is anyone even still talking about that
In other related news, Bad Bunny now has the top 2 songs on US Apple Music.
Crazy how 80%+ of Americans have probably never heard either of those two songs and yet they've been some of the biggest in the country on that platform for several months. It seems the Latin community still has a decent monoculture, while English music is extremely fragmented now, there is no shared experience when it comes to hits anymore that take over pop culture, it's making chart watching boring. It's only going to get worse too.

You're correct on everything else, except for the bit about him being the most streamed artist in the world for about 3 years straight. While Spotify is the biggest audio streaming platform in the world, it's not the only one. According to the IFPI, Bad Bunny wasn't the most streamed artist in the world in 2020 or 2021. He'll probably earn that title in 2022, though. That's still left to be seen.

Let me make this clear. I'm not saying that Bad Bunny needs radio to be big, I'm just saying that if he gets it, he can have way more success. Like mpb could be a number one contender if radio actually did something with it. But to say he needs a new team because he's not performing up to your standards on radio is a reach when the album and singles is performing great. It's takes like these that make me glad some of y'all are not on a promotion team, just overreacting to little things.

In the west? You mean English speaking America and Canada, because he's pretty damn popular everywhere else in the west, including Spanish speaking areas in America. That's kind of why the album and singles are doing so well without any major airplay. Pretty sure he's already securing all those deals.
It's not like he needs to cater to middle America. His music is not for them.

Think u just meant to say English speaking countries) Headlining an event happening this September: www.livenationentertainment.com/2022/06/bad-bunny-tyler-the-creator-headline-made-in-america-2022/ Source: moneyinc.com/bad-bunny-net-worth/Also if number one singles really do make headliners, tell me how many events The Kid LAROI, 24kGoldn, Jawsh685, and 6ix9ine have headlined?

It would be huge for Latin music.

Like he has non singles still holding strong. Plus his album is still reaching #1. Whatever they are doing, is clearly working. If it ain't broke....

His music is not for them. More like western Europe tbh (that phrasing was probably a mistake given that most of you are American), I don't instantly think of either of the Americas when thinking about "the west" But a billboard #1 would definitely help, since it's known the biggest European festivals often follow the US music market more than in their host country's, at least hen choosing who's going to headline their events, since they want "global superstars". That's how people like Cardi B, Travis Scott, Post Malone or Doja Cat become headliners. The reality is that while Bad Bunny is probably bigger than any of them globally, he has a disadvantage due to the fact of not having a US #1, which is what many of these festivals (often organised by American companies) actually pay attention to. Not everyone with a #1 is a superstar, but they often treat it as if having a US #1 is necessary to be considered a global superstar, almost as if it were a rite of passage of some kind.

If planners for a European festival decide not to book one of the biggest acts in the world because he doesnβt have a Hot 100 number one, they need to be fired yesterday. You just said it yourself, the reality is Bad Bunny is bigger globally than the other names you mentioned. Why do you believe that but donβt believe someone as in tune with popular music as a festival planner wouldnβt be able to pick that up? No one, absolutely no one, should be relying solely on the Hot 100 and no other chart or measurement when determining popularity and success.
