Side note. She doesn't have to go to Jimmy Fallon to promote Speak Now TV. The tour and the hype surrounding it will do it by itself. In fact, I don't think promo would change much in term of consumption other than give stans some "content"

That will give a great second wind to her current album.

I think she's been teasing Speak Now TV for a reason

Lots of people perform songs on the Grammys that are not nominated or even attached to eligible projects. It would not be weird for Taylor to do something from 'Midnights'.

Hoping she debuts Lavender Haze and drops the video that same night. Pair it with remixes and a vinyl release of the single and the second #1 from the album may be possible.

The biggest female debuts on Spotify Global are pretty much all Taylor songs:

Im desperate for the lavender haze mv. I miss the old school days of album eras. It was so formulated and you knew you'd get 4-5 singles, music videos, tons of interviews, magazine covers galore etc Now the girlies sit back on the interwebz and promo through social media to their psychotic fan bases who also do most of the leg work to promote these artists.
Now it's like half the girls in the game are MIA for most of these hit eras and it's starting to grate on my nerves.lol.

With ‘So It Goes…’ crossing 100 million Spotify streams, every song on reputation has now crossed 100 million spins!

I have this weird hunch that Anti-Hero is going to be used as promo for Deadpool. With her friendship with Ryan and the quirkiness to every Deadpool movie, I could see the song being used during a montage or something 😂

I believe "All Too Well" is her only song nominated for the upcoming Grammy's, but I could be wrong. I hope she does perform something from Midnights though.

I believe "All Too Well" is her only song nominated for the upcoming Grammy's, but I could be wrong. I hope she does perform something from Midnights though. "Carolina" is nominated in the best song written for visual media category. "I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)" is nominated for best country song. I really don't see a world in which she performs these two over "All Too Well" though, but considering that she has already performed "All Too Well" on the Grammy stage back in 2014, I'm expecting her to go with a Midnights performance if she does perform. not unusual at all for people to promote their active eras on the Grammy stage.

During Covid, I think one of the posters on here calculated all the unique words Taylor uses in each song. Didn't know if they did that for Midnights yet.

Weeks at #1 by act (taken from the Mariah thread) Mariah Carey - 90 Rihanna - 60 The Beatles - 59 Drake - 54 Boyz II Men - 50 Usher - 47 Beyoncé - 44 Michael Jackson - 37 Adele - 34 Elton John - 34 Bruno Mars - 34
Taylor Swift - 29
She’s one smash hit ala Anti-Hero from being Top 10

I think she could push two Anti-Hero type hits from her next studio album if everything goes well and she does a pre-release single strategy. Her live unique listeners on Spotify are pretty impressive and still 40% larger at any given time of the day compared to artists with massive smash hits like Miley who just did 17m with flowers and is absolutely killing it.
I guess it's a nice problem to have so many iconic hits and album tracks from multiple albums. Everyone has a favorite and consumption isn't concentrated on just a few songs.

She *likes* giving each era a mini-moment. Do any of ya’ll who are always posting even be paying any attention lol

I’m not sure what you’re trying to do by quoting that old post regarding the commercial boosts a promo slot might have and how important they are to her first week sales. Also, we get it. You think she’s only going to release one TV this year only. Others think she might follow the same strategy as Fearless/Red which were treated as mini eras too and were released in the same year. Only time will tell.

I think now’s the time to do something to boost the album a little bit more. The “Lavender Haze” music video, “Hits Different” release & the 3am Edition physicals (I doubt she’s doing that though) are three very strong cards up her sleeve. I get why she’s saving them but also, she shouldn’t wait that long before her next move.
Perhaps she’s prioritizing the international dates announcement and trying to come up with a solution to avoid another Ticketmaster fiasco

This is my favourite album of Taylor's. Whilst it doesn't match some of the highs of previous albums, it's very consistent in quality.
It'll be in regular rotation in my playlists for 2023.

I do really like the vibe of this album. I still like Folklore and Red more, but this is probably my number #3. The highs are stratospheric.

I would assume the deal with Taylor is similar. I also don't think 3am physical are coming. It would be so random

I think the 3AM physicals will happen eventually. She'll obviously want to time it for a week when she can get the #1, but it's possible that vinyls simply aren't printed yet, as we know that can take forever.

I would assume the deal with Taylor is similar. I think the last time Taylor had Target exclusive tracks (1989 Deluxe), she ended up releasing them all individually on iTunes in February-March 2015. That timeline lines up with Midnights release pretty well, so "Hits Different" would be released as soon as a few weeks from now if she repeated the same rollout. I am doubtful Taylor would downgrade from that contract and give up her ability to release the song. However, her team is probably keeping an eye on how the Target CD is selling compared to other versions of the album, and can make that push once the CD sales erode. I imagine a good number of CDs sold each week still comes from the Target edition.

It also makes me wonder if they are printing physicals for Lavender Haze. Taylor has something up her sleeve… maybe opening the Grammys?
