Deadline’s revised BO projections: $92MM - $105MM. Just shy of Friday October record, but could pass it in finals. Absolutely phenomenal numbers. I still can't believe she could be touching $100 million opening for a freaking concert film essentially being the biggest concert film ever on opening weekend alone! lol

As an cinephile, who generally enjoys going to the movies, this is what nightmares are made of.

I'm skipping until streaming for that same reason. It's great energy for an actual concert but me paying to not hear Taylor because of screaming Swifties is a nightmare.

Totally fair (and I am doing the same). I was expecting that person that tweeted to be a parent or someone who took their kids. Their profile literally says they're Taylor obsessed. The movie experience was exactly how every person who has any common sense would expect it to be. This person is clearly looking for attention or a reason to complain. To go to opening night and be surprised this is happening is plain idiotic.

Yeah I completely expected that behaviour and some chains even encouraged it. To hate on it is kinda dumb.
A Mexico chain will double up your popcorn size if you sing the "ME!" chorus lol.

The movie is brilliant I am not okay Rep's & evermore's sets were the best don't @ me Hi, it's the next day and I have collected more of my thoughts to share. -"Wildest Dreams" being cut is not felt. The 1989 section is great as is even if it would've made more sense for "Bad Blood" to be cut. Speaking of, middle American loves that era, but particularly loves "Shake It Off." The theater erupted during that performance. -"cardigan" being cut, however, was felt. The fact that there was an entire folklore section and we got six songs from it and also got "willow" for the evermore section, yet "cardigan" wasn't there was so bizarre. From a purely personal standpoint, "august" could have been cut for "cardigan" instead, though realistically "betty" is probably the one that could have been easily cut. - Speak Now and self-titled were already paid dust in the actual setlist, so it's not a surprise they feel like nothingburgers in the film too. "Enchanted" and "Our Song" are cute moments, but their albums don't get the attention the others do. (Her dress for "Enchanted" is iconic, though.) - reputation continues to slay in visuals 6 years later. It was just so fun! The snake visuals, the outfits, the staging, it was all an absolute spectacle! But most importantly, "Don't Blame Me" is a damn moment! - Lover and Midnights actually wound up being my least favorite sections. Lover gets kind of hindered being at the beginning, everyone's energy isn't quite there yet, so "Cruel Summer" actually doesn't feel like a moment at all. It really wasn't until "You Belong with Me" when the crowd finally started getting into the show. Meanwhile the Midnights section is missing a lot of the fun visual elements and powerful musical moments the other sets have. Perhaps that's because it's the most recent album, but who knows. That being said, I did enjoy the sets for "Lavender Haze," "Anti-Hero," and "Midnight Rain," it's just that none of them were quite as impactful and memorable as the others. Also, ending with "Karma" was a choice. That's more of a personal gripe of the tour's setlist as a whole than the film because duh, but still... "Anti-Hero" or maybe "Bejeweled" should've been the finale. -We get to see homage paid to "The Errors Tour" in the credits lol. Overall, there's not a dull moment in the show and it's one of the best tour films I've ever seen. Truly deserving of its success. My favorite performances: -willow [the witchy vibe was amazing, the arrangement was incredible, loved the orbs] -tolerate it [never really paid much attention to this song, but the acted performance moved me] -Don't Blame Me [THOSE VOCALS?!?! HELLO?!?!?!] -Look What You Made Me Do [the sass, the stardom] -All Too Well [visually stunning with all the sparkly red everywhere as she just pours her soul out for 10 minutes] -illicit affairs [it's only a small bit, but damn it's probably the most she emotes the entire film] -my tears ricochet [gorgeous setting and cinematography] -Style [the bicycles and lights were cool] -You're on Your Own, Kid [she nails this, plus I liked the piano decor (though the mossy evermore piano was cooler)] Also, I think seeing it in a theater was really fun. Could have been my crowd or could have been the stereo equipment since I was in an IMAX showing, but I couldn't really hear the crowd much. The music and especially the audience in the film were just too loud to hear anyone else in the theater lol.

Definitely depends on a lot of things - my theater had literally 12 people in it. Lots of singing along, but no screaming, no all out dance parties, just a super chill enjoyable time. I think evening showings are busier, maybe?
I really enjoyed it. My daughter is 10 and was antsy by the time it got to Folklore (which isn't super surprising, I'd expect that at the actual concert too). It just blows my mind this is the same woman who I saw as a super awkward teen with giant curly hair open for George Strait.

I worked both shows here - it was easily 90%+ female. And while you could hear Taylor, you also got an earful of bad singing from everyone around you!
I mean is anyone really there to hear Taylor sing her hits on a movie screen? It's more about getting a taste of what it's like to be at a show.

So awesome you made this so special for your kid! She traded one with my friend's daughter who was randomly also at our showing. We have tickets for a showing tomorrow but my in-laws are also in town so we aren't sure if we'll make it, but she's hoping to trade more. We'll be well-stocked if we make it to the actual show, haha.

I went on Friday night and it was amazing!! Hearing her music full blast in the IMAX will forever be the best way to listen to her music from now on. Listening with headphones on Spotify is too underwhelming now
Everyone in the cinema sang along, but not screaming so you could still hear her perfectly. Everyone had their phone torch on for Marjorie. After a while as people got more comfortable, a few stood to dance to songs like Shake It Off, but not in a disruptive way. They just stood at their chair dancing. Then there was clapping at the end of each song, and screaming at the start of each era. People also did the screaming “1 2 3 LGB” and the “where are you Taylor?”. It was an amazing experience

She (and Travis Kelce) showed up on SNL tonight with small cameos.
Taylor introduced Ice Spice before her live performance:

Does Taylor even sleep? Maybe she’s a robot. I’m exhausted thinking about all the stuff she’s done this year.

I had a nearly private screening of the film today. There was an adult who brought two children but they left either during Folklore or 1989, so I was basically by myself because they were quiet. I really enjoyed it overall! The way it was filmed gave a sense of what it would be like to be onstage, receiving all that energy from the crowd. I liked every segment, but evermore and Reputation were my favorites. {My Thoughts}Lover was nice, but I see what people are saying about the energy of the show not quite being there yet, except for the audience screaming the bridge of Cruel Summer.
Fearless was felt so nostalgic and stadium rock-esque at the same time.
evermore was stunning. I get to Willow at the end, but I nearly cried when she performed Marjorie, Champagne Problems was a great choice, and the acting for Tolerate It made the song even more gut wrenching. As a member of a witchcraft tradition, "Willow" was the absolute pinnacle of the show for me personally - the dance with the glowing orbs and forest background gave me chills the entire time!
Reputation was a serve from the moment she came out dressing in all the snakes until that segment was done. There was so much power in ...Ready For It when she lead the dancers down the stage. Delicate was cool with the cracks in the glass effects. Don't Blame Me into LWYMMD was superb. I loved all the dancers in her past costumes.
I know Enchanted was the only Speak Now moment and it was lovely, but I wish she had done just one more song from that album. It would've felt a little more complete - like Mine, Mean, or The Story of Us.
Red was like a giant party but the lack of sets felt less polished than the rest of the acts. BUT OMFG ATW(10MIN) WAS JUST AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Folklore was a lot longer than I expected. I didn't miss cardigan and loved everything that was included - the cabin, the dancer as Rebekah Harkness, the emoting of August and Illicit Affairs, and best of all OMFG @ My Tears Richochet. There was something so impactful about her dancers processing after her in their black outfits.
1989 was like a SECOND giant party and I didn't miss Wildest Dreams. Style especially goes hard live and I loved the neon bicycles and golf clubs of Blank Space.
Our Song was a nice touch to include *something* from debut, but I'm least familiar with that album and didn't mind it not having its own act.
Midnights was also longer than I expected for it being the end. But I loved all the visuals. Vigilante Shit was such a serve, Bejeweled, Midnight Rain, Lavendar Haze, and Mastermind had such cool visuals. Anti-Hero and Karma felt like victory laps. All in all it was A++ and I'm glad I got to see it in some form. Oh and her vocals were top notch!! She clearly put in a lot of work to be physically and vocally in top shape for this tour. She sounded tired during the last couple acts, but DAMN to sing for 3 hours like that!! WOW

The crowd was great—super fun environment but nothing too crazy. The theatre I went to played a warning before hand basically telling everyone to STFU, but then a manager came to introduce the film and told us to ignore that and treat it like a concert lol. They had a concessions stand inside the theatre the whole time too, so my friend and I got a little drunk. Definitely made me super pumped for my London show. Can't believe it's so far away from now.

I went to opening night and it was the best experience ever. It felt like I was truly at the concert in person, to the point that if I don’t get Indy tickets, I’ll be slightly more okay with that. There was some dancing and singing along which I was expecting, but unlike some other places, it didn’t get rowdy enough to be detrimental to the experience. Incredible concert, incredible woman.
Justice for The Archer, tis the damn season, cardigan, and Wildest Dreams. Also the seven interlude.
Oh, and I need that specific version of YOYOK on streaming immediately.

I'm sure most of you are paying attention, but 'Cruel Summer' had a one point lead in midweek predictions and in response Taylor's team has finally, FINALLY responded with some crumbs.
A new 'single' version of 'Cruel Summer' is available on iTunes. All versions there and on Amazon are now discounted to 69 cents. If you want to see a historic number one, do your part. ;)

The whole Midnights being a visual album thing was wild because it came out of nowhere and yet everyone believed it.
Though it *is* weird how Bejeweled did get a video so early on despite never actually being a single.
