I saw someone on Twitter and TikTok point out some 60s vinyl albums Midnights looks similar too, especially this Bob Dylan one

She tryna hit that milli with these separate editions. Do we think she could get it? 'Lover' barely missed but was coming off her controversial 'Reputation' era (accompanied by a controversial first single), 'Folklore' barely missed but I'm guessing didn't have full physicals? (or at least not vinyls). But both benefited from bundles IIRC.

I think if she destroys the vinyl record (she def will) with 200K or something, has a a big, accessible, radio friendly first song with a great video and a tour announcement that week, it's possible! She would be the first million seller since (of course) herself in 2017 and would further her record with most million selling weeks (presently 4).

Rude of her to announce these alternate versions after I already pre-ordered tbh! Although they're naturally still not on her CA store anyway.

I think I like standard the best anyway, followed by jade green. Might get that version if the CA store ever updates. ACTUALLY I've decided the hand on the face one is a serve.

Folklore had bundles but more importantly sales counted from the time of purchase, so a vinyl order made during release week counted for release week even if it didn't ship until 6 months later.

Which is why she's always ensuring she has vinyls ready to ship on release day now since the rules on that changed.

I’ve already preordered the blue but now I’m debating on cancelling for either the Jade on or that face moment— tough decisions!

Hand on the face gives me rep era vibes but the dark wood color of that vinyl matches the aesthetic the most, so I think I will order that. I like the jade green cover the most but not the color of the vinyl.

With the variants on sale until next Friday (Sept. 9), I imagine that is when other retailers will have the album available for pre-order. She loves an exclusive pre-order window through her own site.

There are two rumours I've seen lately:

1. The first single is called "Dial Tones" (the words were in the Red TV crossword but not used in that tracklist; would also fit the aesthetic we've seen so far)
2. She's been cast as the villain in Cruella 2 (lol but would be fun to see her act with Emma)

Aren't there 4? Or do you mean the 3 additional ones after the blue one? I thought about it, but I am just a fan, not a Swiftie. Homegirl is rich enough without me giving her a dime. I'll pick up a CD copy at Target so I can hear it on release date. I don't usually buy the same album in different formats but I did with folklore and bought the Red TV (should be called Warped Version, LOL) vinyl since I had the original on CD.

Not you coming for that credit score of mine!!!!   In all seriousness, until I fell behind on my college tuition payment from last year, I had a score almost at 700. But yeah, I’m waiting to catch up for that at tax time or something bc it’s too much to keep up with considering my car/insurance and upcoming rent payments for my new apartment.

What I also need to be saving up for is Taylor Swift Live 2023. I WILL see that woman live before we all die from climate change.

For Midnights alone. The money I knew should’ve been kept for my first month’s rent went to those three vinyls and CDs
