I think it’d be a big mistake not to release a single. She hasn’t had a real lead since ME! and this could be her chance for a huge comeback as long as she makes it a good song (not a given with her but I think she’s learned).

There's still 7 weeks before the album. I'm sure we'll get a lead. That's a long stretch between announcement and release to not do anything else.

There's still 7 weeks before the album. I'm sure we'll get a lead. That's a long stretch between announcement and release to not do anything else. to be fair she didn’t do anything between Red TV announcement and release and that was… a whole 5 month wait. but this is not a re-release so i’m inclined to think she’ll release the lead sooner that that, as well. waiting for next year might hurt the lead single’s chances at the grammys, tbh, so I thought she’d release it this month to be able to submit for the upcoming grammys. kind of how she did it for Shake It Off/1989 and LWYMMD/rep. |

Can someone provide more details on the Don’t Blame Me stuff? Where exactly did it take off on Tik Tok? Why? Why has it lasted at the top so long?! It went viral earlier this year, in a major-ish way. "Cruel Summer" did the same but overall it had lower numbers. And then in August well, "august" went viral. She's been having these viral moments for a while now, with "Enchanted" and "Wildest Dreams" also having a moment. "Blank Space" has been charting well too and "Style" re-entered some streaming charts recently. tl;dr she needs to drop the TVs soon to capitalize on her older stuff going randomly viral. 1989, Speak Now and reputation. have all had recent surges. |

"Blank Space" looks on course to hit 1 billion streams on Spotify by the end of the year considering it seems like 1989 TV isn't coming out until next year at least.

Even though I do like the Jade Green version, I'm going to hold off buying the album and wait for the inevitable Target-exclusive. I feel like there's a good chance one of the variant covers will end up being used for the Target version.

I am excited to hear what the sound is. I was not really a fan of Folklore or Evermore and I sort of feel like it is going to be along those lines, except with darker lyrics so this may not be for me. But, damn, even if so it is always exciting when she releases something and the visuals/hype are always on point!
