Like I said, you can definitely see it as a big f**k you to Scooter Braun and your interpretation is not that off but I think it’s more complex than that. In that case, you shouldn’t even give me Kanye either. Karma tracked him down and he showed his true colors to the world but he’s just a part of the equation. You have to remember she’s a person too. Even with the absolute nosedive this has taken on streaming, it’s still predicted to land in the Top 3 next week.
It’ll be interesting to see what they do to get it there. My money’s on a Live From The Eras Tour download.

f**k, I gave the video a watch (I was not prepared for Moana mountain Taylor and Mufasa in the clouds Ice Spice what) and this time "FACTS" went by pretty tamely, but "Karma is my besite" in the outro with the very dainty/fairy-esque instrumentation cracked me the f**k up. Didn't get me like that the last time. What even is this remix?

I'm a little surprised to see this isn't on Streaming Songs yet considering it's been bouncing around that area on Spotify and Apple Music for about two weeks now, you'd think that would be enough for top 50 on Streaming Songs, but I guess not? It'll enter this week for sure with the remix aiding it, which would literally only make it the fourth bulleted track in the top 20 to be charting there. Even combined, "Last Night" is still ahead, but that and "Cupid" seem to be the only other tracks with a bullet that's streaming better than this right now on Spotify (once removing the remix), and you only add one other song, "Favorite Song," when factoring in Apple. Now I'm not saying it's a surefire #1, or hell even a top five, but I don't think it lacking in monster streaming is going to hinder its radio performance at the moment given how the other still growing tracks around it are performing worse for the most part. Sadly, most of the songs performing better than this in streaming are all past their peak. Make of that what you will.
I will say, this is outdoing my expectations on streaming to be honest, and has surpassed my expectations for pop airplay too. So this is all icing on the cake to me.
I do think it is funny, though, that while this is performing pretty decently on streaming and holding its own compared to its peers, "Cruel Summer" is ahead of it still, #14 Spotify, #37 Apple, #35 Overall lol.
Also, as a comparison to "Lavender Haze" on its 5th week in the top 40 (Dec 4, 2022):
#45 Spotify (#28 w/out Xmas); #15 Overall (#10 w/out Xmas)
